De hecho esta y la sonata K 29 son las más difíciles de los Essercizi de Scarlatti

Szymon can actually cross his hands pretty easily. Scarlatti however, as he grew older got increasingly "heavy" and a number of people have written that he could no longer actually face the harpsichord and play, much less cross his hands. Bach was a bit "stout" as well. Bach had to reach the foot pedals of his organ. Everyone who plays Bach at the organ admits it is "very athletic." (OK, exhausting)
I don't mean to fat-shame anyone here. I was a fat teenager, and it definitely was NOT funny. So if I make fun of him, it is also making fun of me. I guess Scarlatti did pretty well, by and "large."
