Thanks for hitting all the necessary points!! I started braiding in college , took a long break and I’ve decided to relaunch my brand on a more serious level. This process has required much thought and patience being that I’m in a new location (Atlanta) As well as building my platform on Social media from 0 followers!! I feel as if when people see that, they automatically think “beginner” and that’s my biggest concern. Could you possibly make a video sharing how you grew social media accounts even without having clientele?
thanks so much for watching & that's awesome that you're getting back into it!! I'm working on a social media marketing course and youtube videos to go along with it, so yes!! theyre coming soon :))
It’s the comment about the extra small ankle braids not being worth $400 for me 🤣🤣 yess chile do it yourself cuz $400 ain’t enough for that service if you ask me.
Hello, I am a braider in Montana😅 should I be charging more or less than big city’s? I do beautiful precise work with clean crispy parts and am a licensed cosmetologist and one of the few (1/6) braider in my town
Hii!! My name is Ciara, I’m a college braided and I eventually do want to provide hair for my clients. I just don’t know how to advertise that to them really and if I am providing the hair how much more should my service go up?
hey there love! I would suggest including the hair in your pricing and telling clients that they dont have to bring any materials with them. I would suggest going up by the cost of the hair (let's say you spend $25 on braiding hair) plus a couple extra dollars for the labor of sourcing the hair + any extra fees that may be involved especially if you're ordering online. So for braids that cost $150 and braiding hair that is $25 I would charge $180 for the whole style with the hair included.
Please I just relocated to uk from Nigeria and m a professional being in business for 4 yrs how do i start braiding and reaching out to clients in my new location
I'd suggest doing your family members' and friends' hair. Sometimes you may even have to do a friend of a friend's hair, free of cost, in order to show your talent and be recognized. A braider's work speaks for itself, so overtime your clientele will grow if people like what they see.

Yes
NO - the prices are ridiculous. I have been forced to become a DIY. I am sorry - I can't support all of this foolishness
which is why i also have DIY videos on my channel :)) not everything is for everyone, and this video is for braiders who run a business
To be fair her prices are pretty reasonable. If someone is washing your hair and spending 6-10hrs braiding it…who’s doing that for less than $200?
