Bank Fishing With Cut Bait! (Spring Catfishing)

- If your catfishing this time of year, cut baits are the way go! Fresh or frozen gizzard shad, cut into small pieces work the best in my opinion. In Kansas where I fish, gizzard shad is the primary baitfish in our waters. Hands down, SHAD is my favorite bait to use all year around, the catfish love it!

Dig the channel my brother, advice from wv, the colder it starts to get use more cut vs live bait. Assist the laziness of the fish, works wonders

at 76 and apartment living no boat or kayak, so bank fishing is all I do except when visiting my brother which has a boat. from dayton, ky. love fishing the ohio river.

Enjoyed your video.... I use the same bucket and attached a couple PBC pipe rod holders and a small PVC pipe running inside the bucket so with a hole drilled for an iron rod to slide up the bottom thru the small pipe to keep bucket and poles wont be pulled in the lake... Oh bucket has a lid to sit on if I get tired of standing...

In my opinion yea they’re worth it! I’ve owned a lot of different style bank rod holders but these by far are my favorite! I’ve never lost a rod using these rod holder’s! 👍 I mainly use the colored fishing line for more visibility. Yessir, I catch all of my own bait using a cast net, then I just vacuum seal em and toss em in the freezer!

Shark rod series 🤣 3000 and 3500 reels with 10 and 12 lb braid 8 to 10 leader shorter the better most length I'd say is 4' leader is best surf set up hook above weight

I love my 6500s, nice reels for smaller baits and weights! I haven't thrown anything over a 3oz sinkers tho, so I can't tell you how they handle the bigger tackle. Hope this helps dawg!
