I can’t stop listening to this. It’s so beautiful, and when I opened the beta, it’s been a long time since I’ve felt joy like that. Monster Hunter has always been a major part of my life, but wilds just feels different- like something is coming back to me.
I agree with you. Wilds just triggered something in me that even World/Iceborne didn't. It made me feel like I was 14 on my PSP again, playing MHF2 for the first time.
I just realized that, with this game being cross-platform, I’ll have the means to potentially hunt with each and every one of you guys, so long as we share the right information. That’s kind of comforting and exciting!

@@jimincos Technically, it could be. Practically none of the armorsets we use are addressed properly in canon, and in the story there are monsters which are completely unique individuals like Safijiva, Fatalis, etc. We still farm them, but story wise we kill them once and that's it

its actually unreal how good the team around monhun is. world was fucking incredible, rise by the b team which wasnt even meant to be a fucking mainline game still took a bunch of shit from world and ofc the previous portable titles and was incredible considering it was made for the switch (fuck the spiribirds tho they can suck my cock and balls and nuts also) theres no doubt in my mind wilds is just gonna be world but with EVEN MORE shit like switch skills/stances that rise and previous titles had. only thing world was missing was stances/switch skills. ofc the fact the maps in wilds are gonna be huge and theyre adding so much shit since its a mainline game oh lordy lord its gonna be so good

This theme oozes a nostalgic theme after like 20 years in the future or something, it's gonna be THE remastered anthem of MH. It's absolutely beautiful😭
Took me 8 years to finally enjoy MHWorld, and the experience was not any less impactful so don't worry. The game isn't going anywhere and will always be waiting for you

Alright! Theory time! The opening theme already gives the vibe of weird solemness and sadness while capcom admitted that they wanted to tell a story involving nature and how hunters also interact with normal every day people. My assumption on the story? Arkveld after breaking free from the Keepers goes on a rampage, killing everyone but Nata, it flees and begins a search for its kind in the forbidden lands but only finds the apexes and proceeds to kill them to try and have more of its kind return since there’s more territory, not realizing in its absence, the rest of its kind was killed off by a possible “Black Wraith” A different monster which is also presumed extinct. Arkveld likely finding out before the mass slaughter of the apexes actually could be using the apexes as fuel to power himself up for revenge. While nata due to being too young didn’t know the truth behind the keepers keeping Arkveld imprisoned. The truth being, the keepers seen the chaos between Arkvelds species and the Black Wraith and they were just trying to keep him safe but Arkveld didn’t want that. He wanted freedom which unintentionally hurt those that were protecting it. Nata, due to not understanding the truth could likely follow in the similar steps of Arkveld, hurting others that Nata doesn’t mean to hurt just to get a chance at revenge since we heard him say both “You’re a hunter, you have a weapon, yet you do nothing?!” And “Give it to me! And I’ll-“ presumably upset the hunter isn’t allowed to go after Arkveld due to the guilds demands of leaving it alive due to it being an endangered species. Arkveld may seem like it but he’s not the source of suffering at all, he’s just alone, confused, and anger at eveyrthing due to being imprisoned for so long. He’s longing for his kind back and he doesn’t want to be alone but he also wants revenge which is blinding it to what it now has, it has freedom, choice to be a protector of the forbidden lands but it chooses to destroy and take from everything. Likely how the Black Wraith also became what it is in the sorry.
duuude i like this. there are two dragons on the promo art, so there is almost certainly an inverse to arkveld that will be another point of focus in the story. Nice theory, i think there are some pieces in there which could entirely pan out once we know more.
This is freaking amazing. I just love Monster Hunter!!!!!!!!! Currently doing my first playthrough of World and it is in my top 5 games of all time. I haven't even gotten to the DLC yet

I really hope we get a proper story, not something stitched up to justify the hunt, but something juxtaposed to it that in itself is really good. The only thing I'm afraid of is how our pc will speak in cutscenes
About time. All these threatening, city-flattening monsters, and not a single high-stakes encounter that ends in destruction. Haven't we wondered long enough what could visit the village while the Hunter is away on a quest? I'd love to see the elders really shine, and the monsters to be made out as the threat that they are to humanity. The Hunters are part of the circle of life, the human race part of the food chain.
I really hope that they put real time and dedication into title updates for this game. I want it all. This game truly feels like the culmination of all they’ve learned from the production of World and Rise and coming to the larger market. I hope they provide many updates. Part of me is coping and hoping that we have multiple DLCs for it.

Sounds like a pure tragedy. i knew this is going to be an emotionally epic journey! there are two theories. One, the theme will change after you complete the story. Two, there's no good ending, we failed to prevent the calamity, everything is messed up, as we trying to recover from the impact, as part of the endgame mechanic. and then come the true ending in the expansion. We've seen this kind of concept in Rise's story, except the true ending was added in the title update

I plan on putting 1k hours on base game and 1k on DLC its gonna be hard, I have in world around 750 hours with both base game and DLC, to be fair base game took sub 100 hours since I went straight into IB with college thats gonna be hard, but its basically this game is gonna be 90% of my free time so its possible!
This honestly feel like something horrible will happen during the story. I mean... Not the humans or monsters, but to the world itself. There is a sense of hope in there, but only for a while. Test seem tranquil and calm. I don't know what's going to happen, but we probably will feel bad for our actions...
i wonder how the seikret customization will work, will it be like the palamutes where you get to keep multiple or do you "dye" its feathers? or is it just one time customization at starting screen you cant change later?
In regards to the other reply, it might make use of tickets to change customization too, but with the designs you can get for the seikret in the deluxe edition (was it the deluxe edition?), I feel like there will be much more customization to them, like how you make the different palico armors

I plan on putting 1k hours on base game and 1k on DLC
its gonna be hard, I have in world around 750 hours with both base game and DLC, to be fair base game took sub 100 hours since I went straight into IB
with college thats gonna be hard, but its basically this game is gonna be 90% of my free time so its possible!

I wish Ps5 still had themes. Because i loved the Velkhana/Iceborne theme and sometimes would let the ps4 run and fall asleep to it.
This honestly feel like something horrible will happen during the story. I mean... Not the humans or monsters, but to the world itself. There is a sense of hope in there, but only for a while. Test seem tranquil and calm. I don't know what's going to happen, but we probably will feel bad for our actions...

i wonder how the seikret customization will work, will it be like the palamutes where you get to keep multiple or do you "dye" its feathers? or is it just one time customization at starting screen you cant change later?
I assume it'll be like world's palico customization where you need tickets to change it
In regards to the other reply, it might make use of tickets to change customization too, but with the designs you can get for the seikret in the deluxe edition (was it the deluxe edition?), I feel like there will be much more customization to them, like how you make the different palico armors
