May I know how to make the charcoal firing inside the firebox? Can the firing box bought online?

      Thank you for your comment.
Set the charcoal and the work in the firebox, put it in the kiln, and fire it as usual.
      I made my own firebox.

In my case, I used an electric potter's wheel.
I used tool clay (a coarse clay that is heat resistant).

Is burning organic matter in an electric oven harmful to the electrical elements?

      Thank you for your comment.
I don't think it's good for gases that have a negative effect on the heat transfer wire to be released.
Putting a strain on the heat transfer wire will shorten its lifespan.

@@kiraku-pottery Thank you for your answer.
I've been looking for a thick white finish, like "hagi ware", for a long time. From what I can see, this kind of effect is achieved by a slip and not a glaze? Everything I have found on this type of finish is obtained with reduction firings. Do you have a suggestion for an oxidation method in an electric kiln?

      Thank you for your comment.
As you say, this expression is often influenced by slip.
When using oxidation firing in an electric kiln, it is effective to place charcoal and the piece in the firebox before firing.
(The inside of the firebox becomes a reducing atmosphere.)

    いつも楽しく動画見させていただいております。
    ベンガラは酸化鉄が主成分と聞きますが、この動画のように作品を作って使ううちに成分が溶け出したり、人に害があったりはしないのでしょうか。まだ初心者で詳しくなく気になりまして…

    • @kiraku-pottery
      @kiraku-pottery  20 дней назад +1

      コメントありがとうございます。
      ベンガラ自体は酸化鉄です。個人的には害があるとは思いません。
      鉄が危なければ鉄のフライパンも使えなくなりますね・・・
      もちろん摂取し過ぎれば影響はでると思いますが、それはどんな物質でも一緒だと思います。
      きっと「何か」が危ないと聞いたら、使える物質は殆ど無くなってしまうのではないでしょうか・・・
      このあたりはご自身でリスクを調べて「使う」か「使わない」かを判断するしかありません。
      よろしくお願い申し上げます。
