One more tip, and I hope many people see this, you’re going to want to make sure that if you’re using the fabric loader that you already loaded a vanilla version of the install. For example, I couldn’t get fabric 1.19 to to load, but after loading 1.19 vanilla, it picked it up

@@mister215 this video was in response to people having issues with fabric, a Minecraft mod api. If you don’t know what vanilla or fabric means, then your issue is likely something else

I had this error when I was trying to install windows edition from the launcher. I opened windows store and downloaded the game from there and the bug disappeared 🎉
As for java edition, I've never had this problem

The issue was so many MS Store apps in the Update Queue. Once I updated all of those, MC4W installed just fine. Thx! :- )

first log out and close the launcher
re open then login and boom now u can play
try to delete the installations for java

other solution: if your not looking hard enough, theres actually a download status bar at the bottom, first you have to check the version you were first downloading and then press cancel (if it says error)

My god, You heaven-sent gift to humanity. We haven't had Internet for ages and I eventually decided to buy mobile data for my phone which I decided to connect to my PC via USB tethering, and Minecraft stopped working entirely because it was waiting on install. I searched for it and the issue was that my windows was outdated, So I spent days trying to figure out how to update it to 22H2 and failing. After days of failed attempts and over a dozen hours of downloading gone to waste and a few restless nights I finally got a successful shot and it finally updated properly, But Minecraft was still stuck on Waiting On Install. Multiple uninstalls and reinstalls, re-setups, purging and stopping microsoft store as a whole, And when I got to your video I used a combination of restarting enabling client license service, uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting the client license service again, restarting my pc, relogging on Minecraft's Launcher, and finally restarting my PC again and it's FINALLY processing and downloading the updates! Thank you so much for your help and it is MUCH appreciated. I've been playing this game for 9 years and it saddened me to not be able to play it.
