Let's have a look at the Typhoon from After Later Audio - a Mutable Instruments Clouds clone with a ton of added functionality and ease-of-use features! #eurorack #ambient #clouds
Thanks so much for this video - just got my After Later Typhoon today, and being new to modular, this has already saved me so many headaches. Loving the module and its possibilities.
Didn’t realize you were streaming here now instead of twitch! Good to see more videos. I understand my typhoon much better now. For what’s it’s worth, I got mine from CalSynth. Maybe he can make grey panels?
Yeah, I switched back to RUclips as I got a bit disenfranchised by Twitch focusing on stuff around making money - that’s not what this is about. :) Ah good to know, I’ll check Calsynth out!
Re: Internal random It was added for Supercell as you have attenuators for all functions. The micro versions of Supercell don't obviously have those so may be a little less useful. By default, it is turned off. Tempted to grab a full size Supercell when I have a larger case. The small pots on Microcell do annoy me.
Thanks for this. But the bank button saves the audio from the buffer. Essentially turning the module into a sample player. When you move the position slider it scrubs through the sample
Did you find a manual that covered the hidden features, like the simultaneous push of mutes? I found the parasites software manual but not the hardware manual. Where would I find this added info?
I am really excited for this, finally i have Typhoon and Pachinko (newest Marbles iteration) on order. That should open up the generative path for me or put it to a much higher level :) I got many modules but clouds, marbles or even math did not make it until now... do i really need a math?

Any idea what the BANK button does? I can't find any info on that anywhere. Or the time button, aside from press and holding it to cycle through the modes.
Late to the game but the Time button let's you choose the amount of time the buffer holds. The longer the buffer the lower the kHz in audio quality. 1,2,4,8 indicates the seconds of length for the buffer.
beat repeat would have made more sense without the aux input. the aux input flavored all the modes too much with the pitch mod for these examples. Great vid tho!
what's the purpose of wasting a full hour without pretty much knowing any mode of the module? would've been better to prepare for this journey. but what do I know, 343 people upvoted a good guy messing around a toy
I just got my Typhoon and this video is helping me out a bunch! Thank you, very much 👌

Excellent demo and explanation of this complex module. Thanks for taking the time.
Awesome...It's like watching a good movie! fun, interesting, useful demo...Bravo! I ordered mine!
just bought one today after this video. thanks 🙏
thanks for your time making this - it was made for me!
Thanks for this video! I bought a Calsynth Typhoon back in June and couldn't figure out how to work it. This video was a huge help.
i still cant ;-)
Maybe there is different software on it?
wauw i can imagine running this through Magneto, Lubadh, DLD , Morphagene :) . Just ordered the typhoon
Thanks for doing this on Typhoon, just ordered mine, will be very helpful, seeing hands-on.
Good to see new versions of Clouds as MI stopped making it and has really scaled down production of many cool modules.
_"See-like, who needs more modules?"_
🥲 * dies inside * 🥲
Thanks for sharing this...Very educational
Thanks you just cost me $260!! Ordered this shortly after watching. :). Nice demo.
Cool video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing these ... keep them coming :)
26:29😲 OMG!! Thats it! Now i need one!
Wow!!
I was going to sell my Typhoon, then I saw this video.
That red patch cable gives me anxiety. It's too tight!! Why would you do that?
Thanks for the link
kammerl is great for aphex style beat mangling

Odessa 😍
This is great! Where did you find the instructions for the internal random? That's super cool :-)
Thanks! I found them in the instruction manual for Supercell here: grayscale.info/manuals/Grayscale_Supercell_manual.pdf
Where did you get your top cover plate for this module? The one on the website is black and gold? Pls and thanks!

supercell manual.

supercell gives you dedicated attenuators for each input
i wanted to watch this, but there’s no plants. jk!!!
related note: have you ever listened to the plantasia album?
I have not but I am now!

Plantasia is an amazing album I play it almost everyday.
module discussion starts at 3:35, sounds starting at 6:00
I wish there were some way to mod clouds to increase the buffer size. 2 seconds mono is quite short.
Beads?
Is there any "official" user manual? Thanks!
With the beat repeat, the aux input is the problem
Any idea what the BANK button does? I can't find any info on that anywhere. Or the time button, aside from press and holding it to cycle through the modes.
Not sure if anyone here found the answer or not, but it holds 4 Frozen buffers depending on the mode. Save by holding.

Where is beat repeat
