I got in touch with one of the developers through reddit and it turns out they have zero plans on a sequel/prequel. Games like these just take too much time and resources for a return that just ends up not being worth it in the end unfortunately...

they wont add a 2nd term. the 2nd term is basically "ok, you won the elections" and that's pretty much it. you either lose or win. adding a prequel dlc or expanding the 1st term would be way more interesting

It's definitely a powerful start of the game. Even though it is mainly text based I got immediately invested in the story and the characters. Also since we see Anton Rayne's hardships during his life it affected how I played the game. During the game I felt humbled by the responsibility and power since I could still see Rayne as that young powerless student who got beaten relentlessly by the soldiers.

    - Prologue because it sets the stage perfectly. Gives you an ominous feeling about the world that you are about to enter. It makes you invested in the characters, especially Anton Rayne (since you control his actions) as well as Sordland.
    - Critical because of how tense it was when the vote for the reform was cast in the assembly. Critical gives you the feeling that there is a breaking point, any minor thing can tip the scale and ruin your world.
    - Pinnacle because it gives you the feeling that the tensions previously built has reached critical mass and you will now see what chaos awaits you.

I have been having a rough couple of months where I have been extremely busy at work, have been working through a challenging course on the way to a new career, and have had to navigate at least one crisis worthy of Suzerain itself. Your amazing sounds have helped keep me both relaxed yet focussed. 'Past', although melancholy, is great music to reflect to, and Crisis and Pinnacle both focus the mind and have allowed me to push through fatigue and doubt when I need to get something important done. I would love them to make a game that's set in the current day. I think a lot of people are unhappy with today's politics, which you can see in the rise of right-wing fascist parties and a growing sentiment of anti-capitalism or at least discontent with the current capitalist system. I think this could be a very interesting starting point. Will you be the leader of a new socialist movement? Or the leader who replaces democracy with a fascist regime? Or will you do everything you can to eradicate corruption and uphold the values of liberal democracy?

It is actually based on the turkish political history but not what wikipedia or the media will tell you. I beat the game by following the political path of the great Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. But it really shows you how hard and dark politics are.
