@@tomasrodrigues1730 honestly one soundtrack that surprised me (despite the game being rather mediocre) was Humankind. The main soundtrack is amazing but even the cultural songs are all extremely well done, I bought all the soundtracks which is pretty rare, especially for a game I don't even enjoy much haha. “Dreaming of the Future” (3:05-6:42) was playing in my head this evening, so I had to come and listen to it here. Such a great track-love the piano and violin!
I love the touch in The risk taker, 31:00, the piece is obviously inspired by paganini's Caprice 24, considered as one of the most difficult pieces to play on the violin, hence the name of the piece in Victoria 3: Risk taker, you are taking a risk, a.k.a you are risking your pride to play the caprice, at least that's how I look at it xd
Compared to the Vixtoria 2 OST, this feels heavenly. I always resented how you ditched actual period music for OG music but you have redeemed yourself with this Paradox
Not really, this is more freestyle. Victoria 1 and 2 were very close to period music (in fact EU2, Vic 1 used it a lot as did HOI 1 I think). A Farmer's Tale (10:13" ) would not sound out of place as part of the soundtrack for The Patriot starring Mel Gibson - or a single by Rondo Veneziano (yes I am THAT old)....
Melodies for the masses, at 0:00-3:05, is a very epic theme. It feels like the people have won something great, achieved greatness. Through hard work and dedication, the building blocks of civilization, through not one or two, not many or few, but by all who contributed, the country has achieved great success in whatever it was going through. Blood, sweat, tears, and strength, all shed to complete this project. Showing that together we can accomplish great things, even in our most dire moments. This music tells an epic trial that we all had to endure to achieve our greatness. We’ve all been there, we’ve all had that moment. You defeated the crisis with your friends in Stellaris, you’ve won the diplomatic victory in Civilization, you finally created The Luxemburg Empire in Hearts of Iron 4, you reached the stars in Kerbal Space Program, you’ve finally got your first Jet in war Thunder, You finally got your tier 10 vehicle in World of Tanks, Warships, Planes, your clan wins the war in clash of clans, you rallied your alliance member in the game to defeat another alliance, you’ve built a successful thriving community in rust, you win your first FPS match, you climb the ranks in your group, being respected by many, you lead your men into battle and win with glory. Your success is not limited, but endless. We land on the moon, (and we’re about to do it again!), we won the cold war, you won a sports competition for the first time, you climbed the ranks to win in the league, you won a very difficult match, you succeeded in getting your diploma, you finally get a job position, you created a successful community, you can finally visit your family back home, you've reconnected with your mother and/or father, you finally got into a relationship that is magical between the two, your youtube career is a hit success, you’ve landed the role of an actor, you finally can work in a job you dream of doing, your legacy is shaped by you. You create your own story! This song echoes the success that can only be felt when you really put your time and effort into challenging yourself on achieving such great success. I can not express how much I feel for this song, I struggle where I live, my friends and family struggle, as well as many out there too. Though this song is the song of not victory, but greatness, it is the same feeling you get on achieving a great score in an Exam you thought was futile to even beat. This is the main theme for this OST, but the title speaks volumes for us all, and it should as it says. It is not only the main theme for this OST, but it's the main theme for us, for all, and for everyone alike. It is our them, it is the them for "We The People!"
Ordinary life and Faded rose are delicious pieces. But "A new place called home" is something beyond, especially from 51:00 to 51:30. Listen with your eyes closed to the little passage from 51:00 to 51:09, it is so melancholic and touching, it embraces, for me, the nostalgia of a far away home and a new one in a new world. Thank you Audinity and Magnus Ringblom, thank you very much.
The most precious possession you have in this world is your own people. And for this people, and for the sake of this people, we will struggle and fight, and never slacken, never tire, never lose courage, and never lose faith - German painter.
22:41 it's feel like the masses are in a war to find the best job position at the early part, then the sudden calm tone represent the emotion of finally getting a job while also represent the sad emotion for the one who din't get a job, then the late part the basses are back citing that the one who din't get a job are not giving up and continue the war to find a job.
Here´s to all who payed for that DLC to put food in the composers mouth. And to all of you music thiefs, who keep this video running in a browser while playing the game with muted music: shame on you!
Paradox makes best soundtracks for strategy games. Prove me wrong.
Yeah but civilization also exist
For exemple the industrial and medieval era of Hungary in civ 6 (this is also cool )
Nah m8 this is gold, but civ6 is just beyond anything else

I don't like cheerful stuff.
The music honestly is one of the biggest reasons I play this game!
Me too
The Main theme is simply beautiful, I stayed on the main menu 3 minutes when I launched the game.

Magnificent 👏
Sounds heavily inspired by the fawlty towers theme to me. I could also see the name "risk taker" being an ironic reference to that

i added classical music mods
beautiful soundtrack. it really gives the game new life
Love the Viola string mains. Fits well in both Vic2 and Vic3

Faded Rose relaxed version is such a beauty

Of all paradox games that I played, the musics from Victoria 3 is my favorite by far, you made a great job!
Trader of Hope is a certified banger!
Man the people, a farmers tale, and the workers are amazing

What a blessing, thank you so much for sharing such beautiful music!
The music is amazing, it is in my heart 😍😍😍
It is like Debussy, the authors definitely got into the the style of late 80-90s
Classic themes, i love it

Andante for the Common People begins with a quote from Death and the Maiden, the marvellous Schubert.
I am playing the game with muted music, while running this music video in the background on a browser.
very good for reading
Honestly pretty amazing study music and I can listen for free on RUclips rather than pay $10 or whatever
Why does no one talk about 34:54
I agree, its a banger
I believe the community has voted. By what we can see on the time bar. Job openings is the most popular song.
A. I the only one who sees the cover art to r this video as Jean Valjean and Cossete?
Trader of Hope looks like a slowed version of Mariage D'amour.
do you know where I can find music with piano like the passage at 36:03 ? love it ! such a great mood
Check out Rachmaninoff, he has plenty of long sombre piano sections in he's piano concertos. Schuberts impromptus are good too.
hey thanks !@@obombomattatetrahondamog1461
Audinity feels a lot like a Victoria 2 song, I dont know why
44:14 ❤❤
Can't unhear that the first piece (main theme) has a bit of DDR Anthem sprinkles
wtf this is pretty decent
Are there sheets available for Dreaming Of The Future?
Where can I find individual songs?
Spotify has them
Cant fibd this on spotify, know it its available?
it is now
tbh, i mainly bought Victoria 3 for the music

Not quite Arcanum level, of course, but still, quite distinct from trash modern soundtracks.
It would be so nice if the gameplay would be so epic as this soundtrack, but sadly, no.
