    Amazing interview and amazing story! My husband recently retired as an Army Officer. My oldest son is about to enter his Air Force ROTC program. I just purchased 2 books for them! Thank you for shining a light on these stories. This interview was everything I needed today. Can’t wait to read the book myself.

    I love this. I’m getting this book right away. I did a report on the Tuskegee Airmen in elementary school and I got accepted to the university in 2009. I didn’t attend but I went elsewhere and graduated. I’m so proud of black men and I feel the need to uplift us in every way possible way and that’s why I can’t wait to read this!!

    There is a story like this in every field, every profession in America. So good to hear the hero's story, but it's so sad that supposed God-fearing people acted like this.

    • @user-iy9np3md5r
      @user-iy9np3md5r 9 месяцев назад +2

      Exactly. Praying to the same god that was prayed to during American slavery. I stay baffled how folks today can pray to the same god that their ancestral oppressors worshipped. That goes for anyone worshipping the same god as people who committed atrocious acts of violence against human beings. Inflicted trauma that has resonated through generations, and to this day STILL adversley affects black americans. Idk why white people are so bitter about it. They bitter and don't even know it. Racist, and don't even realize it. Interview got me rambling. Stay blessed family.

    @25:00 I feel like he is promoting the military right after talking about how the military is racist and has never cared about any non-Yt person. I'm with Muhammad Ali on this one. I don't think Blk or non-Yt ppl should fight for a country that doesn't care to fight for them.

    • @Sjohn1107
      @Sjohn1107 9 месяцев назад

      It's not the military that was racist..it was the people in charge. This was the case for all careers and not just the military during those times. However, things change and while we all have work to do in this country, it's a lot better than what it was.
