its disgusting to see how much hatred there is for Suzy, you're not inclined to like her at all but christ, she's a human being, have some decency. If you don't like her that's your problem, not hers, don't take it out on her like she's purposely going out of her way to offend and upset people. Funny how I see so many comments that are like "Hey, stop the Suzy hate!" but when it comes to any of the other grumps like Arin and Ross, I hardly see anyone ever try to defend them.

m4r1o148 Well yeah, if you really want, I often feel like saying the same about Ross. Apply to whomever you want. There's no reason to be overly harsh about any of them, its just for Suzy, she's only on the show occasionally, so whenever she's on, its like the hatred is concentrated more on her purely because her being on the show is somewhat controversial because apparently some people simply can't bear to be in her presence.
And with Arin and Ross, its usually because they do something stupid in game, and sort of "deserve" a few comments telling them how much of a stupid move it was (not super harsh comments, just enough to make it clear that whatever they did wasn't a good idea, and to be honest half the ones on the Fire Red playthrough are kinda too harsh just for someone messing up in a game) but with Suzy its literally just because she's there, regardless of whether she's playing or not. The simple fact of the matter is, Suzy doesn't deserve half the shit she gets just for being present on the show, if she fucked up playing a game, its somewhat understandable for a few people to be annoyed with her, but literally for her just being sat there its beyond unnecessary.
I mean, its not like she isn't in the thumbnail, if you don't like her you can see before even clicking the video that's she's going to be in it. So really you can't complain at all, you bring it on yourself.
***** I'm not exactly against Suzy. She can sort of kill certain moments but she's not much of a problem on the show. I just think that the amount of defenders that surface on videos that she's involved in is ridiculous since it often times seems that there's only 1 or 2 people defending the other grumps. I just don't understand what's so special about her that she gets all the hate and all the love when she's in a video. Like you said, she only shows up in certain videos, but shouldn't that make the hate lesser?

There is nothing wrong with criticism or not liking what a person brings to a show or what have you. If someone wants to say they don't like Suzy's or anyone else's inclusion, but is still respectful about it, that doesn't mean that they are jealous, hateful, etc. It's perfectly fine to have a negative opinion about content.
However, calling someone a harpy, Yoko Ono (who actually was not at fault for the Beatles breaking up, you dumb fucks), or any name (unprovoked), that is an insult and not fair criticism. Saying you hate the person is not fair criticism. Saying anything disrespectful is not fair criticism.

Ah Star Wars, you and video games have had a turbulent relationship; most of it bad.
The game I best remember playing was "Masters of Teräs Käsi," which was a fighting game and just...the worst; mostly because it's so unbalanced. Once I figured out which characters were grossly overpowered I raced to a hollow victory in record time, and I can't play video games for toffee!
Plus lightsabers weren't used to cut or slice, you hit people with them; there's something hilarious about watching Luke Skywalker hit Darth Vader over the head with his lightsaber like it's a baseball bat. It's equal measures of gorgeous and fucking stupid.
That said, it got me into better fighting games like Mortal Kombat, so that's a good thing I guess.
Hm? I enjoyed KOTOR, Jedi Academy, Bounty Hunter, Jedi Starfighter, Podracer, Racer Revenge, Battlefront. MK has had its share of rocky games.

Oh no denying that either, both are a rollercoaster of quality, but I thank Masters for getting me into the fighting genre in the first place and helping me find the good.
I think because, for a while, my flatmates boyfriend was super into star wars, and so he owned plenty of games connected to the franchise. As a result I saw heaping tonnes of the bad as well as the good.
All I remember from that game is the announcer's voice, and how bad the quality was... And how insane it was to beat my friend, who ALWAYS played Darth Vader.

Yeah, the only thing I remember about Star Wars in games was Masters, which I do only remember I played as one person only, and the Star Wars Lego game of the prequels, and it was actually a good game.

Ehem. I'm about to critique Suze a little bit. It's nothing hateful or inappropriate, just straight up my opinion of her as a hostess. Please, don't freak out or call me sexist or whatever. Thank you.
Suze, I love you, but I got beef. You're not a bad hostess. I watched a lot of Table Flip, and you were funny and practically the only reason why everyone didn't lose focus on the game and take forever to do anything.
However, as far as the Grumps are concerned, everything you say either makes me giggle or sigh. Like your track mark joke, I giggled. But when you say stuff like "just get to a checkpoint, you'll be okay", while being factually correct, it makes me sigh. That's like saying, "just beat this boss and you'll win the level!" Of course. That's how games work.
It's not horrible to say something obvious, it's just that a lot of the things you say illicit the same reaction from me: a sort of "that did not need to be said allowed" or "that comment was pointless" reaction. Over time, I start to think you're looking for things to say just to say something. Not to add to the conversation, but simply to put words in the air.
This being said, you get considerably less airtime than the other Grumps, so perhaps we really just don't see enough of you to get the full picture. I can say I didn't like Ross much the first couple series I saw of him, but now he's one of my favorites. Maybe you just need a little more time to find your niche. Or maybe it's just me.
Regardless, half the time, I get the feeling from you that you're not coming in, sitting down, and hanging out with the Grumps. I get the feeling that you're coming in, sitting down, putting on a head mic, smiling, and doing a show. Hopefully, that makes sense.
Anyway, this is all just one fan's opinion. I do wish to see more of Madam Suzy in the future. I also hope I enjoy her presence more, whether by her change or my own acclimation to her.

The checkpoint thing was a follow-up to the "you need to get health" statement, so she was acknowledging that he was just trying to rush to the boss not caring about how much health he was going to arrive with.

Actually its been proven that positive reinforcement (like stating the obvious in a positive way) actually has a very real impact on how well people perform under pressure.

Look you can have you're preferences and favorites but Suzy is a Grump. She is part of Game Grumps, she has been since the BEGINNING, she is Arin's wife and she hasn't always been able to be on the show besides snipbits of walking in and asking what Jon and Arin want for food in the old days. You can say she's not your favorite but you can't say she doesn't belong. And I just met her this weekend at MAGfest, she is an extreeemmeellyyy sweet and nice and smart person, I personally love her and I think she's fine on grumps every once in awhile.
My only complaint is constructive criticism, that she needs to know she needs to speak louder when she's on Grumps. I can barely hear her.
But besides that, don't give her hate, maaann. We're all a big Grump family.

I used to have this game too! lost it and never found it T_T. But i loved every minute of it. Furthest I ever got in one run without passwords was all the way to the speederbike chase (I felt so epic that day...). But I got good at timing the door boss by attacking it both just as it emerges and as it retracts while avoiding or destroying the falling boulders.

Still can not get over how cute the opening is and how cute the lil characters are.
I remember being absolutely delighted by the Game Boy Advance SP because it had a *BACKLIT SCREEN*. Also, it was rechargeable, so we were no longer constantly chewing through AA batteries.
oh man, i just found my gba (with castlevania: aos in it) after having lost it for like 7 years, and i turned it on to try it out, and my first reaction was "how did i even see what was going on?? even in the sunlight it's nigh impossible to see!" i did have a light attachment for it, but even then... gosh, thank goodness for the backlight (and also rechargeable battery!)
God, I can't believe how something as simple as a backlight was so revolutionary.
The thumbnail has Suzy in it, but then I watched the episode and it was a two player thing and I was like "Oh. Ok." Then she came and I was all ^_^

Calling someone fat to insult them is the same as expressing an opinion? I get that everyone has a right to express their opinion, but you have to draw a line somewhere. People just can't be like "She's so ugly, I hate her and wish she would just disappear." and be totally justified by saying "What? It's just my opinion! I have freedom of speech, leave me alone!"
I mean sure, you can say there is nothing wrong with people expressing their opinions, but technically Buddy was just expressing HIS opinion as well, so it's kind of hypocritical to tell him that.
I don't mean to be rude, but I don't think it's right to defend people making hateful comments. If it's just people politely explaining why they don't like her, that's fine, but when they are insulting and just hating on her as if she was some annoying bug they want to swat away (If that's a good comparison), that can be incredibly hurtful. And it doesn't matter whether or not she shouldn't be hurt by that or not, because the fact remains that people can still be hurt by that. The world doesn't operate by what 'should' and 'should not' happen.

Lets see. Suzy comes in, makes one decent joke about a door knob, and then kills it by repeating the same joke again, awesome job. Shits on the jokingly fun Illuminati Grumps. Mumbled some crap no one cared about or could understand. Repeats a bunch of game strategy that Arin says. Tries to use "rotoscope" because she has heard Arin say it before. References a game cartridge the viewer can't see. Makes a story about her dad that I can't imagine many people give a flying shit about. Talks about popping a bug bite on her arm. Then talks about some new socks..... Please Suzy lovers, tell me how that is good content. Because I'm just not seeing it. Am watching to see if Barry can beat his goal tho

MysticFate Yeah, but Arin's grape joke wasn't a joke in the first place, he was trying to "start something" which he did. Something that the community could make repeatable (though it didn't last long). You aren't going to see people saying "turn the doorknob" in other comments on other videos, and I doubt that is what she was trying to do regardless. Dan's stories are actually interesting and or funny. GG has always been poop humor so if you don't want to hear that kind of comedy you've come to the wrong place... but Suzy wasn't trying to be "comedic" anyway so comparing it to Arin's shit jokes doesn't really make sense.
Helltech he still overdid that grape on the ground joke WAY too much even dan said it wasnt funny, he pretty much did it for majority of the episode and suzy only repeated the doorknob thing a couple of times. The whole hate on suzy is ridiculous and is a problem because there is a giant community who actively hates her and leaves inappropriate comments. All the grumps have very different types of humor and each will not appeal to everyone. Even if one is not universally funny, each brings something to the episode whether it is great commentary on the game play or life stories, etc. I think suzy is really good at keeping the conversation flowing which is a problem in some steam train videos without her. She has a very cute personality and does very cute things. Aside from the fact that she deserves to be a grump, she does not deserve to be insulted in the comments. That is completely immature and mean.
Suzy is boring. She's not funny, and lacks her own "thing", unlike the other Grumps.
I don't get it, she shows up on grumps like once a month lol so why do people who dislike her go so hard. I love Suzy on her channel and as a person. I also like her as an occasional grump, but I do agree to an extent that her commentary on this channel isn't my favorite thing of hers.

All the grumps are marvelous people who deserve to be respected, at the very least. You don't have to love them all but simply remember that they are human beings who are real and have feelings. It's not like we're talking about fictional characters whose existence won't be affected by your harsh words. Think before you say something that will needlessly add to the endless sea of negativity. Nobody needs nor wants it.

11:38 Chewie has the bandolier for his bowcaster. Which is a LOT different from a blaster. A bowcaster actually shoots a quarrel inside an energy envelope. The bandolier carried a bunch of extra quarrels (IIRC, there are two or three quarrels in each box on the bandolier).

This game was MY JAM! One of the games I played the most growing up. Never made it past the first Luke level, until I played it as an adult, but I still loved it.

I had this game as a kid and played it all the time. The door is easy to beat once you figured it out. I played the game so often i could do the first couple of levels almost blind. The big laser in the Reactor bunker is what completely halted my progress forever. To this day I don't know how to even damage it.
