Omg.. that was such an emotional scene. Demon Slayer Anime is really hitting us with these tear jerkers. People say reading the manga is better or the same. Are you kidding, You can't get the Phenomenal Music, Extraordinary Voice acting and Animations in the manga. The ANIME is a masterpiece.

8:51 Tanjiro's pity and sympathy is misguided. Regret means nothing if you're already dead and if you have no choice left but to die. If they had shown regret before they were killed maybe sympathy can be given, like the "mother" in this arc. She didn't even fight back anymore, she just asked for a painless death. The rest of the demons however only showed regret because they could do nothing anymore but die. If they have had the chance to be revived even if their head is severed, I'm sure they would do the same thing they'd do. Their regret isn't even about the they killed a lot of humans. They regretted the fact that they lived a miserable life. Their massacre is only a regret with little to no affect on them. Look at rui, his regret is he killed a bunch of people he can't go to his parents.

For example like the villain was rebellious in their younger days which caused them to be like what they are in the present cause i dont wanna keep being angry at the villain until i find out their back story i just feel a little hypocritical.
