I love your comments on the butterfly. I do love butterflies. From a recovering addict with 13 years clean..... The butterfly represents that CHANGE IS BEAUTIFUL. These ornaments are so pretty. Thanks.

Absolutely beautiful. I love the meaning behind the butterfly. These are a wonderful reminder that we can fly away when we are ready to leave all the pain behind.
    Thank you for this tutorial!!

Would the snow have shown up better if you had used white pigment paste with the snow flakes?

Hi, Thank you! Given the late date, I wasn't sure if anyone would take me up on my offer for the ornaments, so I've only completed the whole process with a few of them. I'd be happy to try some in silver!

I am watching now. Went ahead and subbed because 1)I love watching people make resin projects (lol) and 2) The title of your RUclips channel is heartwarming, and a sentiment I can get behind. :) Ok... now I can't wait to see what you make! (I'll be back to comment again, I'm sure. And I know I'm late to this video but better late than never!) ♥

Your videos are clear and easy to follow. However, for those of us new* to the art, it would be super helpful to show the finished* item at the beginning and/or the thumbnail. Sometimes I see photos of things I am interested in learning about and being able to see if your items look like that helps me identify techniques, since I don't already know what I'm looking at. 😁

Hi Kelly, thank you for watching and for your compliments. I appreciate you leaving your comment and wording it in a way that is helpful and kind. This particular video was only the 2nd creation video I had ever done. As you can see in it, mistakes were made and lessons were learned. I find that is the case with many of them. I still consider myself new at this art; trying and learning as I go and taking any viewers who want to go along for the ride. I do not consider myself an expert, but I love to help others so I freely share what I learn along the way.
To your point about showcasing the finished product in the beginning or in the thumbnail. I do have a couple of videos where I put the finished product in the thumbnail and they are my worst-performing videos according to view counts. That may or may not be the reason the views are so poor-performing. But thinking about how I consume videos as a learner, if I've seen the finished product upfront, it reduces my desire to see the process. In fact, I fast forward through videos when the artist shows it first. I guess it just ruins the mystery for me. I want to be surprised at the end. To me it's like knowing what's in your Christmas presents before ripping off the wrapping paper.
That being said, I realize we don't all think the same and we don't all like the same things. I spoke with my son - my video editor - and he says maybe we could try a few more with the final project as the thumbnail and see how they do. We are planning to make a few changes, so I'm not sure what's happening when, but maybe I will try it again soon. Thank you, again, for being so kind with your comment.

Thank you for your very thoughtful answer! Yes, I always try to be kind - there's more than enough unkindness in the world without me adding more. 🥰
I think you are exactly right that it comes down to the thought process! I have a background in home building and that's exactly how it works: here's the blueprint of the finished product. Here are the steps you take - in order - to create it. There's not much free form in it. 😁
Having said that, I am genuinely surprised that those are your worst performing videos! Now that I have found you, I am coming back for more. Perhaps it has more to do with the notorious Algorithm than the content itself?
As for quality of the video - I still take still photos of my feet or the ceiling without meaning to, so the fact that you made a *video I could hear, see, and follow is amazing to me! I didn't find it to be poor. Polish takes practice. In anything!
Thanks for your kind and thoughtful response. I learned something about myself* I hadn't realized, and that's always a good thing. I wish you all success and will see you on the next video! 😘

    Gloves? Mask?

    • @BeautyAfterBattlesArt
      @BeautyAfterBattlesArt  Год назад +1

Hi, thank you for asking about my protective equipment! Here are the links to the gloves shown in the video and the masks I've used when working with resin:
      Cressi Gloves: amzn.to/46Kkbbf
      Respirator Mask 1 - amzn.to/4798HxN
      Respirator Mask 2 - amzn.to/3tRrtLZ
Well-ventilated areas, such as the area in which I work, are also very helpful in keeping people safe when working with chemicals.
Admittedly there are times when I must remove my gloves for more delicate work, and I do believe there is a moment in this video where I mentioned forgetting to put them back on. Thank you for taking the time to care about my health.

Did you use real fake snow or something else? Bc that stuff turns to gel when it gets wet and then turns to paste! Its what goes in diapers to gel up and hold the pee! Lol So if you used that real fake snow then thats why it didnt work the way you wanted it to and turned super thick in the cup then almost disapeared once cured! Hope that helps hun! And fyi new sub here and this is my first video watching of yours!! 😊 I will say since im new and never seen you at the begining of the video when you were spraying with alcohol i saw your left hand with no glove for a split second and was like.. Oh wow she has a really cool sleeve and hand tattoo!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Boy was i wrong!! Lol loved this video and cant wait to binge watch all your videos now!! Thanks for sharing hun!! 😊

Sorry, but I was totally underwhelmed by the finished product. Your decision not to create the depth of colour you envisioned was, in my opinion, a mistake as the colour was very wishy washy and even numbers on artwork rarely work, three butterflies would have worked better for me. You did a great job with the side painting though👏
