But it's so so big now I need to get rid of half of it ....ive zero idea how. I bet the one year I try to 'garden' is when it dies. Up until now it's been bomb proof Any tips for deviding???

AND thank you that you use corona pruners…….I get tired of gardeners on you tube who have us running out to buy the most expensive everything. I appreciate your simplicity and down to earth way of teaching.

Hi there! Yes, you can, but you run the risk of pulling up the corm a little or a lot if the brown leaves/stems aren't completely withered. Also, if not completely withered then the corm itself can be damaged with tearing on its surface. Maybe give it a gentle tug first and see if the leaves/stems come loose. If not, then don't keep pulling; use your hand shears or other cutting tool to then remove. Hope that helps and thank you for commenting and watching! 😀😊👍🏼👍🏼

Hi I have some crocosmia lucifer in pots they bloomed okay from first bulb plant this past spring. I don’t have a regular garden, can I leave them in the pots over winter in my garage? I still cut them back right?
It might have been better to cut them by hand, because a mower does cut, but it also can pull as it cuts and can dislodge or pull up bulbs in loose enough or wet enough soil. If you didn't notice any rock-like sounds as you mowed over them, your crocosmia should be ok. 👍😉

In our old yard that this video was filmed in, we had a couple of plants in front of it, as it was the tallest plant in that bed during the early summer into late summer. Right in front of the crocosmia were some Shasta daisies, Campanula, then Primroses, Pansies, and mini groupings of Tete-A-Tete Daffodils. At an earlier time, we did have vinca (Periwinkle) growing in spots in that bed, but we eventually ripped it all out. Hope all these plants help you in your plant search! 😀😀

Is it bad that I cut mine back with my lawnmower in the winter?
