This is why I adore Dr. Amir!!!
I’m an Aesthetician, and I work for one of Atlanta’s top plastic surgeons and he’s 1000% correct about the differences between the 2 services. A lot of clients want instant results after years of neglecting their skin, and that won’t happen. RF microneedling just isn’t for everybody, and as far as tightening goes, it’s not gonna happen. It’s great for texture, acne scars, enlarged pores etc and like he said traditional microneedling is great for anybody. Start young, get on some quality skincare, protect yourself from the sun, eat a good diet and exercise. I’m 50 and I have no wrinkles, never had Botox or filler. Good skin care and occasional chemical peels are my go to. 🎊 🎉

I always looked much younger than I am… but then I had three sessions of standard dermapen micro needling six weeks apart. It looked great at first, brighter, even tone, puffier, but that was all just my skin going through trauma. Not even two months later, I started to age rapidly with more wrinkles around the eyes and cheeks, saggier skin, eye bags, hollowed eyes, milia, loss of fat pads and I noticed scarring too. It’s now been a year and I regret the procedures every day. I look older and have lost confidence. I now keep comparing myself to others who haven’t had procedures and sometimes I just don’t want to leave the house. I’m always aware of down lights because they make it look worse. I wish I’d never had micro needling. It doesn’t work for everybody.

I have brown skin, prone to hyperpigmentation. I did micro needling RF- Vivace was the type. It was done in an extremely safe reputable establishment. I loved it and they topped it off with sculptra on the surface. My skin was glowing and pretty much no real down time. I’ve done it twice. Cons: you have to do topical numbing and it’s expensive. Now I opt for a light face peel- skin médica, no issues with HP and it’s more cost effective. Most likely I will do micro needling RF in future. Maybe this might help.

I’ve done micro-needling on myself for years now. Hard lesson I learned is that you can create a scar with over microneedling. I do it right before bed and sleep with those self healing band aids on my face. If I don’t have those, Vaseline is the best way to protect your skin barrier. I love that we can literally damage our skin to make it heal itself.

@@carolhern This isn't accurate. Many MDs (and DIYers) microneedle with an assortment of serums. I use tretinoin x3 per year on my arms as it is slowly repairing skin damage from my childhood while maintaining collagen. (Yes, it will cause peeling, which is why some MDs use this method as it is considered a "peel". (I learned from Ben Ives who unfortunately shut down his site. Anyone who has seen his amazing videos and the level of scientific research he provided to the DIY space will understand.)
For many of us the microneedling opens up channels for serums that include Vitamins A, C, E; EGF (epidermal growth factor), copper peptides, green tea, resveratrol, and niacinamide. These yield better results, but go slowly.

What can I use for treating scars after having chicken pox recently except microneedling or laser.. Is Scar Away or Cica Care suitable or not? I mentioned that the scars are not very big but deep into the skin.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

@@maketheworldabetterplace2292 I go to one of the best plastic surgeons in town and I had it done by two different people (one of which I know very well). This treatment was awesome in my late 30s, got rid of all my acne scars, my skin looked awsome. My friend tells me it’s just the natural aging process and I’m losing fat around that area, which I don’t disagree but I do feel in my case it accelerated the process. I thought maybe it was me until someone in their early 40s also had it done and said the same thing.

Can u give me a suggestion plz?
I am planning on buying a dermaroller. But i am confused about the size of the needles.
My main issue is basically DEPRESSED ACNE SCARRING AND OPEN PORES on my cheeks and nose area.
Should i start with 1mm cuz i heard that leeser length needles such as . 5 or .75 don't target my specific problem?
Will using 1mm dermaroller be a prb or what exactly should i do?
    Hopefully I'll get a reply soon. 😊
