I can give you several Indian cuisine quality oriented restaurants all over the UK. As there are several cuisines from the Indian sub-continent, so be patient and research before randomly ordering stuff. Don't end up in the generic Bangladeshi and Pakistani restaurants trap (which is pretty much 85-90% of the Indian restaurants) which claim to be Indian restaurants.
Dosa is a crepe made of a fermented batter of a rice and lentil mix. It sometimes has a slightly (or distinctly in the summer) sour after-taste.
