- Anne Heche's ex, James Tupper, accuses her son, Homer Laffoon, of treating his younger brother, Atlas Tupper, in a 'hostile manner.' In new court documents obtained by ET, the actor calls out Homer for 'refusing' to communicate with Atlas over their mother's personal belongings.

A family of nothing but chaos & contention. Judge told them two weeks back it would be split down the middle between the brothers!!
No he did not, he put the 20 do nothing, lazy , live off his mother, out of work 20 year old in charge of the estate. A person who refused to work and generate his own income instead living off his mom at 20. There are more hearings to come. The incompetent judge should have appointed a third, neutral party in charge of the estate, to get to the bottom of things, a moron in robes is the cause of all the chaos, when he should have put a stope to it. Tupper's accusations should be investigated not brushed aside.

The Judge did not give the younger brother anything, no court can give the younger brother anything. he gave control of the estate to the Brother. There is NO TRUST and minors are not legally able to inherit or control any assets until they reach the age of 18 or 21, depending on the state. With no trust there is no protection for the younger brother, its all in the hands of the older brother. The entire estate is under the control of the older brother. That is why Tupper is concerned. Because there has been no third party investigation and there is no trust set up for the younger son. It is exactly as with child stars. The California Child Actor's Bill known as the Coogan Act was a bit of a joke, but was established after Jackie Coogan, he earned millions as a child actor, which his mother and stepfather spent before he turned 18. He thought he had millions he had next to nothing. The Law says ONLY 15% of a Childs earnings have to go into a Coogan account, which is a joke, the rest is controlled by the parent or guardian. Which is why child actors still find out at 18, the other 85% of what they earned has been spent by those parents or guardians. To this day we still have child actors suing parents for their money. Trusts are a necessary part of an estate plan whenever you have a minor child.

Ironically, the father of Homer took Anne to the cleaners when they divorced. Her two sons are dividing among them 400k plus the royalties and an upcoming book of Anne Heche. I believe she settled with him with a lump sum payment of 510k dollars plus half of their community property (which is all hers) worth 700k dollars. She retained her one million dollar mansion but I'm guessing she sold it because she was living in an apartment at the time of her death.

@@jaycole4203 No he's coming as a responsible party member who is worried about his young son's half. Too many times when there is no will nobody seems to fight for the younger one's side. Homer is refusing to be adult-like even though he's demanding all this responsibility. I as a lawyer have seen this before. James has every right to worry about his son's stuff due to the fact that we all would call him a lazy parent if he didn't. not to mention the dude is hardly a lazy actor. The man is constantly acting and doing jobs...so I doubt he's money hungry for himself. He's protecting his son's interest.

This is a mess! Her estate should be split equally between her kids. James was an ex, so he doesn't not have a say, unless he has documentation, which at this point, he doesn't.

Actually, he does get a say. The other child is a minor. I hate to say it a 20-year-old and basically, her other kid should not be the ones responsible for splitting stuff up. I have seen stuff go wrong because the other older child didn't do it and basically was greedy in the end not to share it with the minor or other children. James is looking out for his kid. If he wasn't you all would be calling him a bad father. Many of you don't understand cause you have never seen shit like this godown every day. I have and usually, it's bad. There should have been a mediator put into place due to the conflict of interest on both sides. A mediator would be better because they would be about both parties. You all are expecting a 20-year-old to be fair.
James is being the adult in charge of division of the estate, which was her wish. Why Homer is going against this is obviously about the money, and the grief of losing his mother. People tend to get a little crazy with grief after the death of a loved one. This is nothing new.
I wouldn't want anything to do with that estate. $400k isn't going to last long when the owner of the home she crashed into sues. What a mess.
So sad ,it doesn’t see that anyone has time to grieve her death because of all the fighting over her estate. The judge made his decision that the old son can run his mother’s estate for now and the ex seem not want to except this.😮
My guess is that he would never be so cruel to leave the younger son out. He just doesn’t want to deal with the his Dad. I am hoping in time with the right investments that 400.000 will grow where they both will have money to help them through life.
I think that homer is not handing any money over to his little brother because he knows that the ex has his claws out and will snatch a portion of the money given to the little brother and that's why homer is holding onto that cash. Probably waiting until the brother turns 18

I’m shocked she really didn’t have that much for a celebrity. I mean financially. Naturally it should go to her sons. That guy is greedy over a pittance by millionaire s standards. She probably has a motion picture pension fund maybe life insurance. But I don’t think I’m the millions. We forget sometimes acting people have to look for work too. More competitive today then ever., fame really is . 15 minutes for majority , except veterans, and current long running tv stars , really hard to find a role. She was nice. I liked her as Marly in Another World. And with Harrison Ford. They had good chemistry.

I read he wasn’t asking for any money, he was merely petitioning the court to be executor of the estate until each son was 25 and the age that Heche had told him she wanted them to be when they should receive the money. She had wanted them to be more mature before coming into the money. He did not want the money for himself at all.
