You are the man, I Googled the web and all the experts couldn't advise me on this simple fix. Once I followed your steps then adjusted the size on my Toshiba TV to Full screen the menu/status bar portion that was missing appeared. Thanks.

hello, im sorry im not sure what this issue could be. if the second monitor doesnt display in arrangement it could be a bug with the adapter and macos
