@ 4:09 yooo I didn’t noticed the amount of detail was implemented in how an infection form can consume a body, it made the marine snap his neck in order to get control faster

Back again, and that's most likely the infection form actually taking control and forcing the guy to do it, so there's not any resistance and whatnot

For me i just usually kill the intended victims before i let the infection forms infect the corpses
I died when the odst got yeeted but to FOLLOW HIM WITH THE CAMERA AND WATCH HIM LAND ON THE OTHER SIDE. Good stuff.

The Flood are defenitly in my Top 3 for my most favorite fictional pathogens. The fact that they can turn the dead bodies littered across a battlefield into undead to fight for their cause is what makes them so thrilling to fight.
their not undead though the flood itself consumes the body and turns it into another living flood. for the living bodies it infects say the human marines are still sentient and aware but have no physical control...
What makes the flood even more interesting is their ability to self organize. Once they've blindly gathered enough biomass past a critical point, the hive wakes up, connects to the sentience of all past flood Graveminds, and begins its conquest with intentful strategy. Terrifying.
@@wayfarerzen3393 i dont think the flood can connect to other flood cells ie a flood hivemind on this arm of the galaxy connect to one in another arm without a relay of sorts..
so i can build a radio but doesnt mean i can tune into a 1870s broadcast... without a relay that can catch a single thats at this point a few lightyears into space.

Looking at how that 1st hog got destroyed made me remember of all the times I've tried recreating a post-battle scene on that same beach. With weapons and vehicles discarded throughout the map. There's only so much a creator can do to insinuate a battle without mods or AIs and a couple of flipped vehicles. 😔

Aww man... Remember when Halo was this good? I played many Halo Custom Edition scenarios just like this back in the day. Halo lost its touch when the Flood stopped showing up in the games, to be honest it started becoming a sappy drama series instead of the great action horror it started out as.

Ya know, when I was a Kid playing through H2 I lost my marbles after getting up too close to a Marine-Flood Type (Don't argue with me about the Graphics because Kid Me felt that shit in 4K Ultra HDD okay) and it put me off of ALL flood missions (Even H1) and I had a complete and total Irrational Fear of zombies until I was a Teenager xD.
Just look at how Visceral it looks when the parasites take over the Marine Hosts in Halo 3. At my Big age of 24 I have been desperate for another Halo Game but from a Marines Perspective, H3 ODST Style, focusing on alot of vs. Flood content. I have toyed with the concept in my head for the past few years and with todays Graphics Lordt Have Mercy. It would be beautifully twisted.

Marine on the beach put up a hell of a fight, shooting the infected forms so they don't inhabit the dead bodies, making a last stand and ultimately getting overwhelmed.
