That sounded nice as fuck. Alexi knows how to bring the thunder. The lead was actually distinguishable, which was nice. I saw them in march and I could barely hear the solos over roope. Still kick ass though...
I agree with the comments regarding the audio engineers, I've saw bodom Many times, the latest being the pertinence at rhe best buy amphitheater during the north American leg of the relentless tour, As a 18+ year guitarist and musician who's style is rooted in the highly technical neoclassical shred/speed forté, I feel I can qualify my remarks and opinion regarding this subject... Alexis chops have not diminished one iota. His sweeps and legato elements where very articulate, crisp and smooth,
seen them 2 times live and i was at this show they where fucking awsome i just love this band

@Stevemcsteve yeah, i just ignored him when he made fun of me for "writing a book" which is a clear indication that he has nothing better to say. Glad to know that I'm not the only Bodom fan who accepts the sad truth of Alexi's performance.

... his alternate picking and staccatto was also very articulate and auraly tactile with very fluid yet syncopated attack... However it appears recently that his lead amp/line volume has been mixed a bit to deep into the rhythm guitar (Roope) as well as bass kick and mids of jaska's kit, this causes the leads to loose some of the punch during alexi's solo's, I am not particularly sure if alexi uses a volume pedal to swell the lead amp(s) during solo's, however I doubt it, as Alexi keeps his rig

You're right, he's not a very good singer in most aspects. But I think the fact he sings and plays guitar is part of his whole charm, that's one of the reasons he's considered frontman, I guess. I don't know, I guess I could never imagine COB with a singer...

@2STManuel yeah, the screams arnt necessarily bad, but if you listen to the COB shows like in 2003, u can hear that his voice has deffinetly started to wear out, i agree actually about the singing! first time i heared their cover of rebel yell, i was like woah! he can sing too??? haha, it could even switch things up like in a good way if they added some of his real voice XD

I was there as well, they did deliver damn well lol. I can not recall any singing that went wrong, a couple of places they used wrong tones etc, but nothing huge rly. Cut the bullshit, if you were there you would've known it was one of the better concerts theyve had in a while, though the sound guys fucked em over a bit, since the guitar got adjusted to wayy to low volume at many points, which you could hear in this video.

i love bodom to death, and they played amazing here, i just think the sound guy wasnt good, and it really sucks that alexi's voice is just dying =( ive watched this whole show on youtube and it does improve as the show goes on, but its just not what it used to be back in 2003 =( theres not much he can do about it, its fucking screaming, no matter how you do it, your gunna fuck it up eventually

The bass should've been louder and Alexi's voice was pretty fucked up... :(

I watched the Stream, but their sound sucked so hard. Its so frustrating to see Alexi give his best while the sound is so bad.
