If they get enough numbers, they'll launch a full-fledged assault where the player has no choice but to retreat. Those that spawn on potential escape routes have to keep the player from running away, at least until the others get there. If the player fails to get away on time, they'll give him a good beat down. If the player does get away, that'll give more time for reinforcements to spawn, reducing the number of viable escape routes the player can go to. 3. If the damage isn't enough or the player is just too slippery, the giants will solve that. One well-placed punch from the giant was enough to knock out the player for a few seconds, so a club will only make it worse for the guy. Moreover, the increased striking distance will make it even harder for the player to escape or counterattack. Any gaps in the giants' defences will likely be covered by several swordsmen and shield-bearers, so melee is incredibly risky, and ranged attacks will become less effective due to the shield-bearers tanking everything. Oh, and with their clubs, they can probably break through everything in that place, making hiding a thing of the past (Their clubs can also block attacks, but at this point, I'm not sure if that's even worth mentioning). All in all, they could definitely beat the player if they did all those. Of course, if the player figures out how to win somehow, it'll definitely end with him dying as well, or something close to it. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk! Now go enjoy your life.
