We have that high return no start problem only starts with petrol perfume blocked injector 5 engine started normally didn't tried another one will send injectors to a mechanic to test , clean and adjust them and report back *edit just send them to tester said 4 was clogged and was sending all diesel to return only 2 was working they just cleaned them , now engine working 1 sec after cranking thanks alot your video helped to identify the issue we can't afford changing them right now maybe in future after they fail completely

Industrial injectors only have about 20k on them and it would smoke slightly and idle rough with a cold start and go away when it warmed up. Now it is smoking a lot at idle. Need to figure it out before driving again.

To test return fuel you remove the fuel line from the back of the head. Hook up a piece of extra line from another truck, cut it and put a long rubber hose on it so you can run the truck for a min with the line in a measuring cup. Then you can go off specs on how much return flow you had
My lexus is220d is making loud tapping noise and going bad fuel economy. I have new map sensor and after market egr . Can tell me what can cause bad fuel economy .
What could cause an early 04 cummins to lope at idle? Will also lope when cruising to a stop. No smoke, truck starts easily hot or cold (1-2 seconds to start). I'm replacing the fca this weekend, but I'm worried it's something else.
@@absolutetow I used my smarty touch to log some data, but nothing stands out (to me or a few others anyways, as I asked on a forum). The rpms don't stagger down when I rev it to 2.5k in park. There's also no codes present (checked with smarty and did the key check too). Forgot to mention that fuel return rates "check out" according to the dealer. Is it possible bad fuel could cause this? I accidentally filled up with shells v power diesel, as I wasn't paying attention and i doubt many people use it, 3 or 4 days later is when I started to notice the lope. It slowly got worse until I added a whole bottle of diesel kleen (thought it wouldn't hurt if I had to replace injectors anyways). Since then, it's been slowly subsiding.

My ass just hit my stomach while I was working in Miami I had injectors go bad and drove it back to Louisiana killing every mosquitoe on the way . Long story short my 05 is yard art 😭
Diesel master I have a question for you my 5.9 12 valve cummins starts up right away runs for about 30 to 45 seconds and then will shut down. This is in mostly cold weather around 30 to 40°. Then I will have a hard time restarting. I have to mash the pedal to the floor and pump also and she will start. Once started she will run fine no smoke. This is a 1995 motorhome diesel pusher with only 67,000 miles.
Pretty sure you got that backwards pal 04 and a half to 07 and 1/2 have the better Pistons they were designed to handle more heat to accommodate the higher exhaust gas temperature that was created due to the third injection event that was added due to smog regulations at the time... just thought I should let you know so people don't think they're 04 and 07 engine the worst are the best five nights ever made

I think I have a injector stuck wide open I shut it off as soon as I realized it. Hope my piston is fine.

I would start by checking everything out on a scan tool. Codes and live data

I would think the problem would show somewhere on live data like fuel pressure fluctuations or something of the sort

@@Zak_Bum_Leg sadly not. i bought new injectors and it solved my problem. i had the old ones tested and they were all over the place.
Got to get to work my truck is down. Pretty sure I need to start blocking off each fuel line figure out which injector is dumping fuel
