The chance of dying to demonic gorillas is legitimately almost 0
MAYBE if you get hit and then instantly bouldered you could die but even then it would require you to be on the wrong prayer and also not move off the tile you are on
@@dustyroflman8926 Have over 15k demonic kc and it’s not 0, you can have 2-3 gorillas on you at once in that spot, you can finish a gorilla and get pjed by another soon as you finish a kill. Sure if you sit 100 hp you won’t die but if your tanking hits you aren’t guarenteed to take 0 dmg, and your kills take 4x longer. It’s 50/50 wether it’s a mage range att after a melee phase.. the whole agro phase while you’re at demonics isn’t too dangerous but there’s definitely a chance of death if you aren’t paying enough attention.

50/50 after a melee or 50/50 after a ranged it doesn't matter. The prayer rotation should be the same. Yes you can miss a prayer after attack styles switch but that wouldn't matter. That's one hit that you can eat up from when - again- You would be in the single combat room.
Also idk what you're smoking but the kills would not be FOUR times longer. What your weapon just hits 1/4 of the damage? Or are you saying the lost ticks from eating will cause you to scarf an entire inv of food down every single kill?

The thing is, being a streamer is very different and comes with perks but it's also there job, Oda's job is to entertain the stream and he obviously values this above everything else that's why he's had people train skills on his account before so we don't have to watch the ''boring' 'stuff, granted some people enjoy watching the ''boring'' stuff.

Ironman boosting in any way ruins the integrity of the game mode and further devalues it, whether for content or not. What's said is said.
I like oda but this IS boosting and I dont honestly care thats he's doing it but I never understand iron men in general that want to restrict themselves for flex purposes and then do cheesy practices like this, pay for boosts, and cry to jagex so they add resource drops to every pvm encounter.

yes, an ironman is "supposed" to play solo. But the truth is, these are the game rules, and you CAN do it. If you don't like it then go cry to jagex to change the game rules. Besides, play however you want. I got accused of the same thing at daganoths. Don't tell me how to play.

No one complains then. What's the difference between that and "massing" demonic gorillas in order to also make it safer, easier, and quicker ?

you really don't see the difference with abusing a multicombat area to boost zenytes and 2 skilling minigames that are about the same solo/massing? i mean ffs you can get crashed at wt if you're soloing it, that isn't the intended way nor should it be. for temp, soloing was actually taken into consideration. do you think that irons should be locked into soloing cox, tob and toa as well?
it's only just recently that jagex has taken ironman into consideration. updates like god wars instances, corp instances, toa, tempoross, etc.
at the end of the day i don't really care bc it's a streamer team, i'd rather see them skip the boring stuff and get to the actually engaging content like raids. but it is boosting and it is against the spirit of the gamemode.
@@colonian83 I agree with you on the last part. To me if I was playing for the sense of accomplishment I would try to solo or remain within the bounds of group Ironmans content. But the priority and need here is content and entertainment so I don't mind seeing them utilize whatever legal methods work for them. At the end of the day RuneScape was built to be a online game there are ways going to be features that can be taken advantage of by ironman since the game isn't designed around them. As long as no rules are being broken I have no problem, but if we want to talk about ironman being helped or benefiting off of other people this is just one item on a list of content like that.

I mean I definitely did this on my hcim because there was no dc protection before. But I’d call this boosting unlike Oda. On the other hand I don’t give a single fk if people do this or not, I just know my ass wasn’t going to try hard at fking demonic Gorillas for some damn jewelery upgrades. Not happening. I choose the chill laid back method with way more kills per hour.

Being serious though, why would you even need someone to tank these? The only time you should ever get hit by a demonic is the first hit of the kill, when it's a 50/50 between a mage or range hit and you don't know which it's going to be. They drop so much food and prayer pots there ain't no way anyone should ever need more than 1 trip for the whole task.
I think you never did long trips at demonics, it's not just the 'first hit of the kill" its a 50 50 everytime the gorilla is done with mellee attacks. 1 prayer pot while also using offensive prayers, good luck. depending on resource drops from the npc itself is also weak pvming. Unless you out there with scythe blood fury, max range. you cant compare it to their limited gear
Its a 50/50 chance of being hit 20-30 dmg after every melee cycle. Like nah bro he is using a tank just for fun certainly not to save food or longer trips like he explicitly said in the video.

@sqre4896 Haha, Jesus is the community really this bad at something as simple as demonic gorillas? You can do the whole task in something as basic as Karils top and tassets, blowpipe and arc. Like the most annoying part of killing them is the fact you get too many supply drops and you have to keep resetting drop timers on the shark/prayer drops, its impossible to run out of supplies if you just kill them properly.
And as I said in my other reply, a melee cycle should only ever happen once if you get standard RNG, you will kill them too quickly for them to get more than one melee cycle in.
