I can already hear Ryan Blue Balls Bowen , “After much careful consideration I have decided to end my One arm training. This was MY decision and it has been a real interesting experiment over the last 6 years.”
Someone has to give me the TLDR Bowen story! I see him mentioned everywhere, "undefeated" etc etc. IM SO CURIOUS!
@@MetalJuggler Heres my take. Hes an okay arm wrestler but in my opinion, tries to make himself appear at a much higher level than he actually is. In reality, hes not that good. He tries to insert his name at the top when hes really not there. Again, my take. I call him.. Ryan Blue Balls Bowen from South Korea
@@naka-YAYA-plaza lol, cheers. Hoping for more versions!
@@MetalJugglerI would say, a charlatan… the type of guy whom try to project a false image of himself to reap benefits from the naive and misinformed… a used-car salesman
@@MetalJugglerHe often speaks about or acts like he’s an elite armwrestler, and he is good compared to 99% of people, but he’s not that good compared to other arm wrestlers. He also just has strange takes sometimes and gets flack for stuff pretty often. It kind of just turned into a meme over time to mention him here and there cause it’s funny to make fun of him through sarcasm or whatnot. For example: “Ryan Bowen is the only one who can stop Levan now”
All I hear is DOUBLE PUMPKIN TRAINING
lol. The pumpkin training concept was, you take a pumpkin vine and you cut off all the baby pumpkins except one, and that one gets super big. So train only one limb and therefore that limb gets all the extra growth.
@@abj136 Yeah I know I'm just being an idiot 😅
Two giant pumpkins are better than one 😁
His right arm started to look fatigued and flat to me compared to his left the last several months.
It's just Devon is the one who is selling most of the PPV. So we need more matches with Devon, right and left
man there r some pretty good matchup in heavyweight category like muratov, dadikiyan, prudnik, ongerbaev and many more not every names coming in my mind right now but these matches will be super impressive
He has nothing to prove any more.
Yes, the punk is a proven loser, a repeatedly humiliated loser against levan.
So what really happened, is he got bored of pumpkin spice flavored pancakes.
I’d hate to think of how big & strong Devon could’ve gotten over the last 6yrs, if he would’ve been hitting the compound movements like the Georgians, instead of the static pumpkin training with no recovery days.🤔
Seems you haven't been following him properly. He has said many times he's elbows are literally gone can't put any pressure hence does isometric workouts
@@HafizShivji786 Compound exercises at full range of motion are actually easier on the elbows than arm wrestling isolation exercises and certain static movements, I’m nearly 10yrs older than Devon, and have been resistance training & arm wrestling for over 40yrs, and I do pull-ups, push-ups, rows, and other compound exercises as well as Devon style movements, and I have no elbow problems, and I’m even 100% natural, no roids or TRT, Of course I’m not talking about full blown power lifting. I’m just talking about moderately high intensity compound exercises that are proven to be beneficial for arm wrestling, The Georgians all use them, and they got 3 East vs West champions, so that speaks for itself.
@@snsdkbopper7819thankyou for quieting that guy, people make their own theories
He wouldnt be any bigger without pushing the drugs and food, he's refused to do that. Mans pushing 50, let it go
Not sure how compound movements would have helped. Hes still losing to levan. His training and recovery strategies over the last 6 years clearly worked. Hes in the best and strongest form hes ever been on the right hand. His run these last few years has been insane. Levan is just another level above everyone.
Less goo king!
The midnight pumpkin will be forever be infamous !
RIP PUMPKINS EVERYWHERE
Can't wait for his left matches with training.
No more. You can't squeeze anything more out from this old man. His time is gone.
He is aliveeeee
I firmly believe that Devon is the strongest in the world pound for pound in the right hand, and I also believe that Muratov is the strongest in the world in the left hand pound for pound, I am very curious about Devon's plan to have a chance against the beast For Muratov, his left will have to be as good as his right to have a chance.
A couple of things. Todd is older and smaller and gives him problems. And AW is more than pronation rise and cup. General torso strenght also plays s big role
@@mynameisnobody3931 Devon is easily the best pfp. He is the only two divisoon champ at evw and he did it while being the open champ, which makes it ten times crazier. He is also about to be a three division world champ so its really not close.
@@sui6160not even close. 60kgs guys are the best pfp
@@nonacesool I don’t think you understand what pfp means. It’s not about strength only, because that heavily favors lighter guys since strength does not increase proportionally with weight. It’s about how dominant are you against guys your size and how capable are you against guys bigger than you. It’s who performs the best regardless of weight, that’s Devon by a country mile on the right
@@sui6160 best 60kgs is not twice less strong. Is like 30% less. U talk about things u have no idea about.
Imo I think Devon’s training lacked fundamental power work on large muscle groups (although we didn’t see if he was doing this or not) i.e., focussing on bicep and back pressure.
I feel like we are missing out on incredible matches that he won’t do like Vitaly, Jerry, Alex, Arytom etc… 😢
Linus is still waiting for the Great Pumpkin to arrive. Disappointed is the word
The pumpkin training to me appeared to work pretty well for his first match with Levan 2 years ago, using the more volume style and bulking (peds??) ...his right was unreal. His training for 2nd match vs Levan didn't have the same impressive effect
Legit thought it was a reference to a certain steroid or something.
Devon did something no one else did before. Got to number 2 at the age of 48 in super heavy weight. He was number 1 but it's okay to not be. Every king has his day.
RIP everything
The GOAT, our lord and saviour, Mr Ryan Bowen does it. Who cares what this Dayvon Lawrence character says about it !?!
Age, time, losses and acceptance made him realize he should work both arms but in lighter weight classes. Very logical :) The evidence is clear, he'd never be facing Levan in s. heavy weight on the left. He might be top 20 if we pick the elite in that category.
He isn't willing to get super fat and unfortunately that means he can't take advantage of those crazy strength gains that come from gaining muscle and fat at the same time. Mariusz Pudzianowski is one of the only elite strength athletes who did it while staying relatively lean.
Don’t most people already do pumpkin training by skipping leg day?
2:42 super heavyweight right?
Yes, he will try to hold light heavy and heavy titles, with both arms.
the idea of training one side makes a lot of sense, but you can still overdo it. It's more of a question of how much extra recovery do you get from not training one arm. And is it worth it? if you are in Devon's position even a 1% advantage is worth it. But it's still possible he overestimated the recovery advantage and over-reached with the training.
207 videos about Devon later and still no new content. 😒
Aren't shot put, discus, javelin throwers doing pumpkin training all through their careers. It's not something new

Devon Larratt stopped stupid training
Ah, you & the other anti Devon or Villain really think he shows & tells ALL his training techniques?
he is the second strongest armwrestler in the world right now so his training works
Stupid
Well after you beat him, then tell him how to properly train, keyboard hero.
Stupid training
The constant competing, PEDs, and stem cells were probably more effective than the training itself.
The over abundance of specific training for one arm is fine and all, but laying a base of overall strength and increasing that base strength will make the specific arm training higher in the long run.
Again, Devon’s height is his advantage, he’s taller than everyone he beat in the last year, Levan has nearly the same length of arm but is stronger everywhere.
Pumpkin training 🥱 so cringe.
🎃
Because Levan really closed his career in the super heavyweight division. 🥲
