Yiddish, not Hebrew. The former is a West Germanic language. Hebrew was a mostly* liturgical language until the 20th century. It's a deviation of the German word "Schande" that means the exact same thing.
It's actually a german word called Schande.
@@IronKnee963 Yiddish comes from German. The usage in this clip is definitely an example of the Yiddish word, as Larry David and many of his friends are at least culturally Jewish. I don’t think John Hamm is though, which is one reason why his use of a Yiddish word is funny in this moment.
