You are doing fine and you have realised the two important things: - whoever (Sam?) drew that map, took copious amounts of, uhm, artistic liberty with it (starts with the wrong orientation of the big bridge and just goes on) - the basin is way bigger than anticipated I call that progress :) took ME at least 3 episodes long. I had conflicted thoughts about that map. On one hand, we are used to all those nifty precise automap features in videogames and have learned to take such maps at face value. The struggle to make sense of that map was indeed frustrating. On the other hand, I don't think I could draw a better map. It IS quite helpful, even though you have to explore and orient yourself. Also, that "Ooooooh..." moment is kinda worth it. In hindsight, I wonder if the different hand-drawn style compared to the other, almost satelite-scan generated Alterra map of the area, was a hint. Enjoying the series a lot, keep it up! Primarily though, have fun with the game and play as YOU like. I mean, that's what we're here for...
Exploring the land can be difficult. Like the sea often biomes link into eachother so there may be other way paths on land to reach your destination. No matter though you will find your intended home eventually. At least you are making lots of fluffy toothy friends (:
1:22 You can pack the Snowfox up, carry it to the top of the ladder, and then remount it. 13:33 You're actually using that map a lot more than I did. I just wandered around until I saw something interesting. (Oh, and built scanner rooms.) 21:10 Subnautica Below Zero bug #542523454: If a Snow Stalker gets trapped in that little alcove, it can never navigate its way back out. Sometimes saving and reloading will remove it from the situation (as you discovered), but sometimes it becomes stuck there for the entire rest of the game. 32:53 But, your thirst meter is... *Ohhhhh,* not, like, in game, but an IRL drink. 😳
Joe: Getting really tired of your shit Snowstalker: But hungry Joe: So? Snowstalker: You are food Joe: No i am not! Snowstalker: ......are you sure? you look like food. Joe:........yes i am sure
21:03 AHAHA! I had no idea that was a thing, and the tone of your voce was like that of a very disappointed dog walker. "No! Stay! Heel! Bad alien polar bear!" I've ever seen anything like that happen.
It’s actually quite maddening watching you explore the same tiny cave for the ninth time. Especially when we explored said cave fourteen times in the last four episodes. The map isn’t that hard to understand and the game isn’t that hard to play. Just jump on the bike, blast past the stalkers, find the water hole (your navigation marker on the map), beyond it is the cave you want to explore and bobs your uncle. It’s a three minute job, not a five episode job. I know you like to play safe and I get that you should play any game the way you want to play it. But I’m losing the will to live here!

Good to know I'm not entirely floundering, ta!

Indeed land exploration is definitely more challenging

Ah yes, important tip about the snowfox!
Creating your own map is oddly nostalgic.

Snowstalker: But hungry
