It's not a meme if it does a TON of damage, and will kill anything faster than actually scaling the creatures. Anyone who says it's a joke or a meme just never thought to couple with another skill. There will be people who go "skill bad because using 2 skills for 1 thing" but rogue is so good that you don't need any other skills besides helm and the hook skill.

It does for some magic, I did mention lava slimes which you can dodge normal slimes but lava slimes still force you to take damage via their magic, it's silly which magic damage you can take and which you dodge, like from drakes and mages.
Potentially, wayfarer is sadly a class I missed on my first playthrough because of a bug woth the newt liquor so hopefully this next run through I'll do so

Formless faint should also let you dodge magic attacks, atleast it does for me when a dragon or mage casts a lightning or fire spell against me
