Smoothie's First Time Outside

- It was a nice spring day, so I decided to let the cats explore a bit outside. Only under supervision in the garden of course. Smoothie was really into it! Milkshake wasn't sure yet, as you can see at the end of the video.
Smoothie and Milkshake are two British Longhair cats living in The Netherlands, respectively four years and two years old. Since she was called “The Most Photogenic Cat In The World”, Smoothie rose to fame in 2016. She’s the Queen of Fluff, and always camera-ready.
Smoothie's born on the 1st of April 2014, Milkshake is from the 20th of May 2016. Smoothie weighs 2.6 kg, while Milkshake is double her size (4.5kg). This is very common, because Smoothie's a female and Milkshake's a male.

One of my twins is the same, took her out again this morning, she is a brilliant jumper, yet once out back loses all ability to jump up or down & starts trying to climb the wall like Spiderman to get in the window 😂😂😂

*My 3 cats get their outside time twice daily (1 hour of supervised excursions in a fenced-in yard)...which they look forward to with GREAT joy.*
*There is grass to roll in...butterflies to chase...hummingbird & regular bird feeders to scope out and an occasional mouse scurrying through the ivy.*
*I think it makes THEIR lives SO much richer.*

Make sure they're on heartworm preventative (all it takes is one mosquito). They need to be tested first at your vet to make sure they don't already have heartworms before they're put on the preventative. Just one heartworm can kill a cat.

The more independent the cat the deeper the Call of the Wild. Smoothie will definitely have to put in more hours outside. She has a huge job & brand new smells EVERYTHING MUST BE INSPECTED! If I'm right Milkshake will share Smoothies enthusiasm, but can "take it or leave it" after the newness wears off.
I had 2 Persians yrs ago. A blue/cream, EllyMae and a black & white Tuxedo, Elroy. EllyMae ran the house & Elroy watched tv. Their personalities were so similar to Milkshake & Smoothie's. I just smile watching these, really nice sometimes mesmerizing productions. Thanks =^..^=
