I've lived in Wales for 26 years, and this is the first time I've heard of a werewolf living here. I guess it's true what they say; you learn something new everyday.
I remember reading someones post on reddit who had a theory that "werewolves" could have been mistaken for type of primate that survived the ice age called Dinopithecus. Was kind of creepy.
Maybe, but even Bigfoot sightings (another hairy humanoid that has been terrorizing humanity for a while now) are always on the ground. Dino pith ecus are more ape like than humanoid, meaning they would be climbing trees and making rustling noises when leaping from tree branches. Werewolves and “Bigfoot” are always running around on two legs, are hella hairy and have deep voices…. It’s more like they are another human specie than anything else. It’s been theorized that humans came in different flavors. We had the small weaklings that were smart. Being small and weak meant they had to develop their brain to defend themselves, hence why the current humans by instinct pick rocks or sticks to defend themselves. Then there’s the other sepien that was all about muscle and little about brains. These could be the primitive entities we see roaming around forest snatching and killing people. They are still sapiens so they have some intelligence as to camouflage and stay out of sight but not much to create and use tools. If I remember correctly the book “Sapiens: a brief history of humankind” tackles the possibility of having different kinds of sapiens. There’s also The Bajau that are slowly developing into sea sapiens.
This is so weird. I watched dog soldiers last night and it got me interested about encounters but couldn’t find that much. Then top 5’s comes to save the day as usual 💪🏼.

Also paranormal witness covered some really spine chilling accounts. ♾☮
@@dandeehart9553 I’ve actually listened to a few of them. Obviously some are more like creepy pasta. It's so intriguing to hear about mystical creatures killing for no purpose, serial killers were just out of the question, that would make a very interesting horror movie someday
Anyone who doesn’t believe in werewolves are fools. A year ago we kept finding a massive dog turd in our garden each full moon. By each evening the following day the turd would disappear, which was strange. Anyway, one day following a full moon I was taking the wheelie bins down for collection the following day and I saw someone was cleaning up a huge dog turd. It took 3 bags to get it all. I asked the man what he was doing on my property and he just blurted out that he was a werewolf and was using my garden to defecate because it was a shithole anyway in his opinion. My garden is immaculate, I told him, and we spend a lot of time on it. Yeah, he said, his human form thinks it’s nice but the werewolf part of him thinks it’s a dive. Next door’s garden has old mattresses and broken shopping trollies in theirs but the werewolf thinks it’s like Kew Gardens because in wolf form werewolves have an opposite outlook
Surprised you don't mention Skinwalker ranch with all the sightings they have in the area in regards to Werewolves, and strange creatures from other dimensions.

Honestly at this point I’m just glad there are still people out there who actually know what the “were” in “werewolf” means. Maybe it’s just me, but there’s something kinda sad about “Wales is not the first place you think of when talking about werewolves”. Larry Talbot did not die and get repeatedly brought back against his will for that!
I know it comes from the Old English word werwulf. In Dutch it’s weerwolf and German werwolf, so very similar. I know the meaning used to be ‘man wolf’ but in modern Dutch ‘weer’ means ‘weather’ or ‘again’. It never made much sense to me lol.
@@YvieT81Oh, interesting, I don’t know much about Dutch! But I was just talking about how people nowadays genuinely don’t know that a werewolf is part man, part wolf (looking at you, Nickelodeon).
the last case of werewolves in Iberian Peninsula happened here in Portugal, when a boy in the 90s found a wolf skin in a crossroad ! he got mad and then people burned the skin.

Iv seen a werewolf when I was a kid with my cousin in the woods in Austin tx. It didn't move a muscle like it knew we were looking at it. After some time standing still staring at it for some time I told my cousin to run and we ran for our lives I must of Ben like 7 or 8 years old. Ok now what it looked like was a 8 foot really hairy animal hunched over leaning on a tree with a huge Maine like a lion with the scariest eyes u can imagine. Those eyes petrified us we literally stood still for minutes, it was like 25 feet away. Iv seen ghosts too
werewolves don't exist as shapeshifters. the original 'werewolf' was recorded by a monk hundreds of years ago. it was a case from france of children disappearing from a village, they found the killer and chased him into the forest. when they found him he wasn't behaving like a human but more like a feral animal, like a rabid wolf. From this the idea of werewolves began.

My grandma had a story about large wolves in the area. She lived in a yet to be fully developed area at the time, so there was still a lot of wilderness areas around. One night, when my cousin and her boyfriend were visiting, there were unusually large wolves in the neighborhood that chased the two of them from the house to their car. That's about as much of the story as I can remember as it was told when I was 5 years old. The biggest problem with the story is the fact that wolves haven't been sighted in the area since the early 1900s when they were hunted to near extinction in my state.
