Great video format. How to, mixed in with the different points of view is perfect. I really like seeing riders filming the person in front of them, gives way better perspective.
Well said. Jeff is incredible ambassador for the sport. Inspires me to push lines, I never considered before. Teaches technique so well, and actually shares his knowledge for free.
Nice action Jeff! I think we should change the rules though- it doesn't count as having "cleaned" the waterfall unless you do two consecutive laps without putting a foot down! Hunter Nelson will have this on lock down!!! I also use the right line at the bottom. Hopefully the monsoons don't change it too much, but I do wanna try some of the worse lines now and see if it's still doable!
So glad I came across your videos. You are truly a boss! I am kind of new to mountain biking on a serious level. South mountain is in my backyard. Could you post more videos of how to climb technical stuff like south mountain? Your trials skills are what I really need to work on.
South mountain is amazing I have a video from the beginning of 2019 riding up the waterfall. I’m also going to be at Sedona fat tire Festival leading group rides that are a ton of fun if you’re considering going sign up for one it would be great to ride together. Thanks for checking out my channel.
Man that was some killer tech! Such gracious passing! LOL. Snow is starting to melt here in Eastern Canada. Thanks for sharing the desert riding. Jealous!
Is that Tibetan prayer bell sound near the end coming from your spokes? Great ride, gentlemen!!! Jeff, I don't know who dressed you today but... those colors... bleccchhh... ;)
Awesome stuff man! I've been working on some trials skills and hope to be able to try to tackle riding up some craziness like that one day. I'm a big fan of the "punch"!
I'm pretty sure that's just a Hero 7 on a chesty with the Hypersmooth stabilization. It's not nearly as smooth as a gimbal, but it's growing on me with regard to being more lifelike. I still prefer it chin bar mounted, but a lot of riders aren't willing to wear full face helmets. I completely get ditching the gimbal though....they are no fun to deal with.
Great video Jeff! Do a spin class over the winter here in Abq, NM and watch videos like this while spinning. Makes it a little more interesting. Being a rider at your level and doing trials, are you riding clip pedals? What brand? thanks
Thanks@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss! Thought I heard you say something about clipping in. Been riding clips forever (Crankbro mallet) trying flats, seems ok but not as comfortable leaving the ground with them lol
MTB 4ALL thar would be harder for sure. Especially if you use a high cadence. I’ve ridden Trials so long I know I could do it on flats. I just don’t want too. Lol. Too lazy.
Nope, late response! I started a fundraiser to donate back to kids. Check it out below, we're done at the end of the month and so close to our goal. candaid.salsalabs.org/crimepaysforward
I’ll be there as usual on Sun morning. Maybe I can get my riding brothers to join me. They usually don’t like group rides. I call the anti-social old farts. Lol.....👴🏼‼️ they are awesome though.
Jeff, Its so cool to watch you and receive your words of wisdom. Great video and presentation style with the collaboration views. The day after I met you in Sedona I rode the Twin Buttes Loop (Broken Arrow to chicken Point) and shouted out to you in my video at 1:05. Watch here: ruclips.net/video/6Ax6IRA2jY0/видео.html I'm curious what your line would be on this set of steps with a final big step up. As I approached it, it looked like the easiest effort thing to do would be to come in straight hugging the rocks on the right and avoid all the steps of Rock, but my concerns were for fear of falling to left side because (1) Keeping traction/not sliding out laterally on the off-camber, loose slope leading to the 1st rock chunk at 0:56 (2) hitting the protruding Boulder on the right side a few feet later on the right side with insufficient clearance and not being set to cut right onto slab thereafter. Even if I were to clean that hugging right portion, I would still be faced with the big step up onto the solid slab thereafter. I wonder how you would approach this? I presume you would go into trials hopping mode to clean the big step up onto the slab unless you could some get some momentum beforehand. Taking the entirely different line starting from the left would require getting up all the stair steps and then be faced with getting over the big smoother step onto the slab. I just knew that would be safer, but require a lot more effort and skills I may not have either. Have you ridden this section before? I bet you have because it's on the way to chicken point on the Broken Arrow Trail.
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss Jeff, better late than never! Thanks for the tips. It was nice to watch your crystal clear, high resolution video of the waterfall Trail by Phoenix. That's crazy you finally saw this comment. I bet if you're like me, you found the comment because of RUclips's newer feature that allows you to filter your comments and determine which ones you never responded to. In any event, I think I'm getting too damn old and enjoying the eMTB so I don't have to stress about having enough energy for tough technical climbs.
Hey man, I’m moving to Phoenix soon and want to start riding trails around there. Price aside, would you recommend a hardtail or FS for a beginner in that area/terrain? Thanks!
LOVE the video and riding, but....you're killin' me smalls! Please, for all that's holy, go into ProTune settings, and set your Mics to STEREO. The entire video should sound as clear as it does from 8:04 to 8:10 if you set your Mics to stereo. If you have it on auto or wind...it's going to go in and out and sound dull and lifeless at times, like it does in the rest of the video. I promise to buy you a beer if I ever get the chance to ride with you here in Northwest Arkansas if you'll humor me and set it to stereo. :-) By the way...I hate your face for riding up the waterfall and making it look that easy. I have never worked on trials at all, and it's on my list this summer. Now I just have to bribe Ryan Bratton to coach me!
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss i did watch your video and then i went and hit the trail up in the wiss in philly...walked up the hill pushing ..then i bombed down some..been a while for this old guy.

Never will I have the “trials” skills to do this stuff-I’m 68 and with a 65% loss of testosterone compared to you guys I will eat twinkies and drink Monkey Shoulder as I watch it done on RUclips.
Nice riding. I really liked how you were trading back and fourth getting footage from two perspectives.
Hey Jeff, nice, I like the passing action with the cam passing off the shot as you went.
Thanks!

JKW vs Jeff Lenosky...you two need to get together for a video...us followers would dig it!
We did last winter! We each posted a couple videos on our channels. Check em out I hope to do more in the future.
Great video Jeff! I saw the Trail Boss rig in parking lot a few weeks back. Bummed I missed passing you on the trail.
Oh man, that would have been cool! Thanks for checking out the video.
Two hyper competitive buddies chirping each other as they smash trails..... great edit Jeff!
davidvonslingshot thanks Dave. Hope we can ride someday!
Some skilled riding there. Dream riding right there. Great video.
So much fun man...looking forward to more of those this year with ya!
I have a bunch coming!
Looking fly in that new kit ;)

How's this for a late response?? that one was a camelback, i have an Osprey one that I like much better now.
Awesome video as always! I got a question,... Would Cushcore be a huge help on that trail?
ABSOLUTELY, I use a Vittoria Airliner which is a simialr product. There are a lot of high speed hits.
This is some sick level riding man.....

The chest Mount camera gimbal blows my mind how smooth it is on rough sections like this 🎥

It almost looks like your wahoo is connected to your stem cap, how do you have it mounted?
That Gopro Kid I forget the brand but it’s a top cap made to mount computers. I actually don’t like it. It’s too far back.
Thanks for the reply , I was going to get one but I guess I will just mount it to my handlebars now.
hard to tell clips or flats?
LucyMTB clips!

When they say “waterfall” it isn’t actually a waterfall. The water goes in a creek on the right. I live out there so I can see it
Are you Jeff that used to skateboard?
spaboos06 I did in jersey in the late 80s
