everyone stops skating when tom starts - that's respect for an all time legend you don't get at normal skateparks. this spot is lovely - cant wait to get back to philly (from london) and skate it
When another skater is very good at the park, i stop so i don't miss a trick. That doesn't have much to do with respect, but rather because it just looks sosososo cool. If i saw Tom i would sit somewhere and eat popcorn.
I actually found you on twitch first and was very surprised about seeing you casually playing WZ. I then found out about your YT channel. I knew who you are, but just now thanks to your YT content, you became my favorite rider. I really like how "real" your videos are. You are a very "down-to-earth" person and I appreciate that! Thanks to you I went back to skating Thunder trucks and éS shoes. I might even give Santa Cruz decks a try!
thats so rad to hear! i need to be on twitch more often, i love streaming! thanks so much for the support though! i appreciate it! i fyou get a SC deck i hope you enjoy it !
I absolutely love that Tom said he "wasnt ready" to get up in to the back tail on the tall rail, he looked rattled and not vibing at all... But then he had that wholesome interaction with that guy who said he just found the channel, and the vibes completely changed 👌 I fuckin love skateboarding ❤
There was some controversy surrounding the last name, thus Front St is what many refer to it as now. I’ve been skating there since it was just the slappy curb + a few wooden boxes tho lol so it’ll always be rizzo in my book
Starting my Saturday with coffee and a new Tom Asta & Shane video to enjoy before the weekend. Gotta love it! Philly community looks friendly and mellow!
It would be cool to see personal NBDs as a video format. You pick a trick you’ve wanted to learn or just something random you’ve never done and show your experience working towards it. Would be cool to see how someone with your skills works through a new trick.
Haha, back down to earth with the rest of us, having to take the less than tidy roll-away! 😜 Fun sesh though. That backside flip off the bump was clean af and I loved Shane's steezy little (alley-oop?) half-cab on the quarter hip in the middle of his manny line 🔥 🙌🏽
bro calling it a resource and thanking you for the info in real time is the best shit I've seen in a long time. genuine appreciation is fuckin tight, keep doin your mf thing my boa
Is aggressive inlining coming back!? I saw 2 dudes at my local the other day and one in this video. That's 2 more than I've seen in 20 years. Good video as usual.
It actually is. They've been slowly emerging from the underground and I've seen a few at my local park. Been nice...reminds me of skating with them at the park growing up...we were one of the few towns in Georgia where we all got along growing up.
idk if theres a way to control each lav mics volume separately, but your level is fine tom, but you should probably lower shanes just a smidge so its not peaking.
Never got in on that bs flip vs fs flip debate, I always been better at them bs so i appreciated the clip in this video. Also Shane’s consistent nollie tre’s were sick lol
Tom you should come check out my local park in Lititz,PA currently just finished the 3rd part of the renovation via a 3 year 3 part build, Designed by 5th pocket built by Arment concrete, mostly ledges with the remaining skatewave tables and boxes sitting around. Was saving 360 degree pan videos to do an edit of before and after but the person I left the footage with forgot and ended up selling his pc. The day you were at ambler recently is the same day that's best to go to that park in the am to afternoon
For some reason growing up I thought Tom was kind of a mean person. Not based on anything just a feeling I guess. Turns out he's a super chill dude I could see being a good friend with. Love the videos
Get harder thunder bushings than youre comfortable skating. Suffer for a while and they slowly break into indestructible and responsive bushings you're looking for. In the winter go softer but still harder than your ideal confort level
Literally just passed this skatepark about 20 minutes ago lol. Also digging the hat, Go Birds baby! Schedule is looking good btw, I think we’re going 13-4/14-3.
what is your opinion on local spots when they are destroyed or removed, being measured and preserved, for skate-park recreations? I recently had a convo with a local park owner and i sparked up the idea that some kinda repository needs to exist of just banger spots around the world to be recreated, cause skateparks kinda suck at guessing what people want, and that is imo the best way to handle it, make the obstacles actual references to reality with real replicas. Anyway keep killing it man, this park is on my list to stop at.
oh, should specify local small parks should measure local spots and recreate them at their local park, not copy all designs around the world and just kinda pick and choose, I mean your local city, it might be hella expensive, but i feel that is truely a representation of skateboarding, the art of capturing the mundane and making it art.
@@Zephyrian1st i think its great. especially if your local park is able to re create or at least use materails from the "famous" spots in that specific ciry its even better... kinda like whats going on at this park in the video... they used the preserved love park/city hall ledges so you always have that special feeling while skating them.. more cities should try to do this....i also think skateparks need to be kept "fun" though... so if its a replica of a famous 16 stair...maybe make it look similar while being an 8 stair haha
@@tomasta I would say completely fair take, and the love park stuff is why its a must go :) I think the 16 set take is a wise take, don't fill the park with bangers, stay creative with more expression in design and reflection, super cool, thanks.
Once I skated with asta at this secret ledge in tacony by the train tracks.. I’ll never forget bc I ripped my pants from the crotch to the ankle and kept skating. Asta gave me a tip for nose grind pop out and just acted like it wasn’t awkward nd my pants werent shreded. Oh and there was a hot chick skating there that day 😢
everyone stops skating when tom starts - that's respect for an all time legend you don't get at normal skateparks. this spot is lovely - cant wait to get back to philly (from london) and skate it
that’s kinda just how the park is set up tho. it feels like working out a contest run or something each turn. it’s a little stressful lol
When another skater is very good at the park, i stop so i don't miss a trick. That doesn't have much to do with respect, but rather because it just looks sosososo cool. If i saw Tom i would sit somewhere and eat popcorn.
@@deroelige totally - saw tom knox at the new finsbury park plaza in london the other day. stopped and watched him warm up - was immense
love seeing tom around philly area and being nice to the locals. i'm in west philly and haven't run into him yet but feels like a matter of time
"Yeah, I saw. I'm filming them all..." Shane kills me, man. 🤣🤣
lol. Shane is so real for the reaction to the backside flip
“Sometimes I hate you”
“Are you kidding me”
i came for tom stayed cuz shane
Shane needs to be Omni man for Halloween
Tom can be invincible 😂
Ngl just realized that he actually does look like him, thats sick lowkey😄
@@SolaRDare haha right!

Tom can do it all., one of my favorite pro of all time.
As a South Philly native skater, that be Rizzo skatepark!!! Front street is just the street it's on 🤧 happy skating:)
Yeah I was a little confused when he said “the front street park” haha
There was some controversy surrounding the last name, thus Front St is what many refer to it as now. I’ve been skating there since it was just the slappy curb + a few wooden boxes tho lol so it’ll always be rizzo in my book
Love this, Tom. Would be sick if Shane had a Channel too, love the energy between you two.
Favorite day of the week is when Tom drops a new video.
Hardbody karate
Starting my Saturday with coffee and a new Tom Asta & Shane video to enjoy before the weekend. Gotta love it! Philly community looks friendly and mellow!
"Me? hours and hours. Tom? All of it in 20 minutes. Good for him, dude!" 😂 Yeah 3 backside flips back to back will get me like that too lmaooooo
Shane's lock nut is hanging on for dear life. Those ledges look so fun. Wenning tricks definitely represented. Need a switch back smith...
Oh my god that’s my kinda park
So rad, love the look and feel of that park.
Both of you are super good. Its fun watching you both skate. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeeeah transition Tom! Cool to see the board slide too😎
Question 🙋🏻♂️ why did you choose the ace low bushings? Just a preference? intuition? Or did you try the standard bushings and did they not fit?
Dope session! Need to see that nollie bigflip in the next video!
Dude, u r my favorite skater, hugs from México
THANK YOU!
Shane for president!
Love watching you guys skate
Homie style is always butter

Great video, and it would be sick to have some theme videos like Wenning tricks, Creager tricks, MJ tricks, etc.
I told you those Ace bushing were the shit ..!!!😁
So talented 😊

That switch back tail 3 shuv on the curved ledge was real asmr 🤤🤤
The rare switch heel!!! Let’s gooo

My bushing setups is a thunder red bottom conical with blue independent top bushing. I use both metal cups on top and bottom bushing

Is anyone going to talk about the rollerblader…….
I’m right here. What’s up?
Man that is a dopamine inducing back tail at 8:11

You guys seem fun to skate with
Missed you by a few but at least I got to meet Shane. Lol
sw manny heel was so perf
ayy thanks!
I think the Wenning would work perfectly if your T-shirt was like 50% longer. Haha
hahaha this is true
shane needs his own youtube xD he is damn funny
What's your skin care bro? Looking smooth and shiny lol
Roslyn sesh next video???👀

Planned on doing a park review channel years ago, if I started now I'd be the "copy cat" I said before lmao
yo what brand pants are the pants u always wear?

ayyyy THANK YOU! appreciate you watching my vids and glad you got a better feel for my personality!
Just bought your wheels bc you're chill
Are the ace bushings the same height as the thunder bushings?
i dont think they are exact but they work pretty well in the thunder 148 hi, just have to make sure you purchase the Ace Low bushings
only a few seconds in but shanes 5.0 across the round bump to bar was wild lol thats always felt so sketchy to me
i agree haha 5-0s are sketch... THANKS for watching !
@@tomasta was a killer episode 🤙 the nod to wenning, the alley oop bs flip, the banter really enjoyed this one
Is it still 8.25 deck and 148 trucks :)?
how do you get there without using 76? 95 aint sht lol the quarter in the back is fun as hell and for once you can get plenty of speed
This park is nice. I like it for the summers.
yep lots of shade! THANKS for watching !
👏👏👏
SHANE ❤❤❤ how does he keep getting cuter.
"If I dont jam it in, it slides good" - Tom Asta 2024
It’s crazy that Shane can skate as well as he can, but can’t really stand next to skateboard without falling. Lmao😂
My thunder bushings keep getting smoked bro like within a week it seams like wtf? Is Ace where it's at?

shane skate like cole
yea i also hate u tom 😂😂butter backside flip 👏👏

yea not looking to shabby! i think the birds will be solid as hell this year! THANKS for watching !
Fun sesh. BW🔥watched him aLot!
same dude haha THANKS for watching !
What’s the actual like address/pin for this place ?! I’m definitely trying to skate it 🛹🙏🏽
The shortness of the bump does make it difficult to get good pop with speed
Are you liking 8.25 now?
been realling liking it! but excited to try the cusom deck im designing, samples should be here soon!
