It's next on the bench. I'm waiting on the new radio system that will allow me to keep the light function. I'm also going to install a new esc for better low-end throttle. I've also decided to install the 370 because I would have to do some fabrication to fit the 390 I wanted to install.
received mine yesterday in orange and spent the night changing esc plug to a tplug(dont know if i can change stock plug battery) because have many lipos with this connector. Waterprrofed the esc and lights board with spray acrylic clear coat and thats it. Honestly, stock eletronics look good, not beautiful built but good. Motor is strong on low gear, fast enough for trails in high gear and slow speed sensitivity good enough. Have a 1060esc and a domborc receiver mini to upgrade later and metal cvt, gearbox and axle bearings but will only change them when stock parts die or feel bored lol
They are made well! The esc is loud at low speeds but overall it's a great crawler for the price. I have some upgrades for the Grey one coming shortly. Enjoy that MN128 and upgrade as you wish 😆
@@PJsElectricRCAdventures can you confirm if the servo is a 25g and can be replaced by one from injora 3kg? stock one lools weak but enough for trailing though. Planing to upgrade for another one a little stronger and metal gears.
@@sta_bang yes you can keep the stock esc. It will accept the power from the 540 can motor. It has to be the 540 can motor or it won't fit the adapter & space in the truck.
Did you do the motor upgrade on the MN78 XJ yet? I just ordered the adapter and a 370 since it's apparently very similar in size to the 280.

@@PJsElectricRCAdventures nice that'll be cool to see. I was curious how I could keep my lights too after replacing the receiver

@@farmoboy83 it is a 25g waterproof servo as per MN site and the specs sheet.
Hi, can i just upgrade the motor to 540 or 550 and still keep the same stock esc? Or eac has to be upgraded too?

You will have to solder the wires to the motor as they come unconnected.
Thank you but what about the secondary mount plate ???

This will complete the conversion
