the Chimera deck has a Chimera fusion monster and a Berformet fusion monster, I wish they'd add a Gazelle fusion monster to balance things out
The idea is think is that the chimeras are the gazelle side. Whereas the berfomet fusion is more like the berfomet taking over. If you notice, the chimeras always prominantly feature the gazelle head & chimera the illusion beast is gazelle predominantly.

I play a very similar decklist with patchwork engine + 3 branded. just want to know : do you run 3/3/2 for patchwork engine and how many Albaz do you run ? And what's the total card in the deck ?

I liked the Branded variant of this deck when it first came out but now that the Melodious package exists, I feel like it’s not the optimal option considering how much better the melodious engine is. Mad respect for playing Chimera though my dude good job
Yes and no. Honestly the engines are a pick your poison. Ostinato is a better T1 end board but weakerfor board breaking compared to a mirror jade/ rindbrum.
@@ora5799 Absolutely. Melodious Chimera is probably the best going first variant of the deck. Going second, Branded Chimera is better hands down. Pure becomes better than both of them after Infinite Forbidden, and probably Fiendsmith Chimera becomes better than all 3 best known variants after that same set.

@@antoinebourdin6690There's also an xyz illusion thats pretty good, Quick permanent negate and steal Monster until end of turn. But yes, probably the main update will come from fiendsmith
Honestly think that right now the branded engine (specifically a small branded package in the pure chimera deck) is much better. You have 15 one card starters in the pure version that gets you to an end board with an omni negate, a monster negate, an anti-spell fragrance diabellze, a floodgate in barrier statue if you play it, a target negate, a double pop/draw & the rindbrumm ED negate. Plus whatever handtraps you play. The end board is extremely hard to play through and extremely easy to get to even if you dont draw the branded side, all you take away is the omni-negate you can make everything else. This deck can even make a one card dragoon which is broken still.
So once you use chimera fusion and get it back from the graveyard with its effect, you can use it again, correct?

I went 3-1 with Branded Illusionat my last locals. Lost to Ragnaraika . He had the outs, and hand traps

Ok but how good are Nightmare apprentice and Diabellze? I want them but they are kind of expensive.
Nightmare Apprentice is unironically one of the best cards you can have for Chimera, if you have the budget you should get ahold of it.
Diabellze is one of the best cards in the deck. In almost every match she was a high priority for my opponent to remove, or else they get slapped

Can you even negate Seals with Sword Knight in grave since it says a monster your opponent controls and the Seals tributes for cost? Genuinely asking.
