- Come with us as we search for Luchador masks, see some strange animals and eat from a sketchy taco truck. This is one of my favorite ports to just walk around and soak up the culture, it is everywhere.

We were looking for that same taco truck when we were there in 2019! Ended up in the same courtyard where the Mayan pyramid (tequila museum) is and ate at a taco place right next to the museum instead, at the recommendation of a local taxi driver. Now we know where to find it this summer, if we have the time. And now I know it's a pickup truck and not a big "food truck" like we have here in the States.

I know exactly the place that you are talking about where you ate. I was just back there again last week on the Sky Princess and the cruise director and her fun staff were eating there. I have eaten there a few times as well.
My kids still call it the “sketchy taco truck.”
Some if the locals told me about an orange taco truck that comes in that area in the mornings. But I have not gotten off the ship early enough apparently.

Did you get a copyright hit for music? Just wondering. We will be going back in Carnival next cruise after doing a 20 day total b2b on Princess which was probably our most boring cruise yet. I thought I had my fill of Carnivals entertainment but nights on that ship had us longing for it again.
Yes to the copyright. Definitely the night life on Princess was lacking compared to Carnival, but the quality of the production shows on Princess is much higher than that of Carnival.
@@facebookJason you could say that, but what we saw was like the old type of musical type of singing, just not our cup of tea. The only stage show we enjoyed was a comedy acrobatic show. A lot of trivia shows held in different bars and not interested. I like jeopardy on TV but a trivia game in a bar no once again. There were many who did not like the entertainment onboard besides us and also said that the entertainment was better on Carnival as there was always something happening. It was also surprising to find so many people in the atrium area just sitting listening to canned piped in music which was generally at a volumn which was much too high, but in hindsight maybe it’s turned up high to assist to overcome all the hearing aids. Btw, I’m not young either at 68 years but maybe I’m young at heart? I think perhaps our expectations were set much higher perhaps from listening to some people rave about Princess. Everywhere on board it was pretty much a snooze fest. At least on Carnival there is the life in some areas and the quiet in other areas especially on the Serenity deck and to those who say Carnival is party party party you don’t have to be a part of that scene it is not quite so. For us two old timers it looks like we will make use of our platinum status and work towards diamond. Cheers, 🍻
