Papayas Training in Sierra Leone (July 12th, 2023) - Manual Vacuum Aspiration

On July 12th, DKT WomanCare and DKT Sierra Leone joined forces to host a Papayas Training, aimed at promoting MVA (Manual Vacuum Aspiration) as a crucial option among healthcare professionals. The event took place at the Princess Christian Maternity Hospital in Freetown, Sierra Leone, with around 80 dedicated participants that attended this full-day training.
It was an honor to have Professor Adetunji O. ADENIJI as our guest speaker, sharing his expertise and knowledge, which further enriched the event. The Papayas Training addressed a significant issue: the lack of utilization of the MVA in Sierra Leone. We recognized that it was necessary to debunk myths and misconceptions surrounding MVA while providing valuable education on its undeniable benefits.This Papayas Training marks a significant step forward in improving women's healthcare in Sierra Leone, and we are excited about the positive impact it will have on countless lives.
