I'm an old man and American to boot. Never heard of Robbie Williams. I had a great time with this movie. I think it's definitely worthy of an Oscar nomination for editing, not to mention cinematography and art direction. It was a lot of fun!
Just saw it. Really liked it! Thankfully, it's creative in more ways than just the CGI chimp. The big musical sequences are realised in wildly original ways. Great time at the movies!
@@edsfilmicforays5733 wooooooooo! I think it’s surprised a fair share of people. Musical set pieces have some pazaz! 😄 thanks for watching and leaving your thoughts x
Favourite track - no regrets.
@Karmapolice98 I think my mum is a fan of that one. She used to play that album with millenium on it in the car all the time when we were kids. X
robbie is truly a king! i've already seen the movie and it's beyond incredible!
it's different from any biopic - yes you have drugs, alcohol and woman BUT the way the are showing it here is amazing and heartbreaking.
robbie doesn't shy away from the truth. he lay it out and doesn't sugarcoat it.
i loved the movie! and even me as a fan, learned some new things about him.
it's truly a movie that anyone can watch. you don't really needs to know about robbie - you can go blind and still enjoy it.
the movie touches subjects and approaches that other biopics never thought about.
robbie is a real man who really likes the truth.
the movie is raw, honest, funny, heartbreaking and heartwarming.
i think any one of us can take something from this film. so many lessons to learn.
it's safe to say that i absolutely enjoyed every second of it and can't wait to watch it again!
fav song? come undone. will def watch it again no doubt.
ps: can't wait see robbie on tour next year! already got my ticket!
What movie did you watch ? I loved this movie, it was full of heart , soul and pain. Two hours flew by , it was a 9/10 and only the missing section of the beginning of his solo career stoped a 10. Watch this film but not with children, it is an adult portrail of a rock and roll life warts and all.
@@markfudge5642 I still really enjoyed it, I gave it a 7/10 which is still a very good score. But glad to see you loved it so much more x
Nice review. I'd give it 8/10.
Knebworth was 3 nights at 125,000 each, not one show to 375,000. Oasis did 2 nights there, and it's a shame they didn't boast how Robbie did more.
Apart from the odd song ive never been a big fan of Robbie but this looks bonkers enough to make me intrigued to see it.
@Karmapolice98 yeah it’s got a very unique USP for a biopic - I was intrigued and it was actually quite a nice surprise. X
Excellent film, seen it twice at the cinema now, just got home from the 2nd time. I'm not Robbie's biggest fan, though I did see him live at Hyde Park this year, & he was brilliant, my favourite songs of his are Monsoon & Come Undone. Could easily see this a 3rd time at the cinema, I have an unlimited card so it costs no extra.
Great review, as always, thank you Luke.
Can’t believe you got to spend Christmas in Bundaberg….I hate you. 😜
@@thedudeabides3138 hehehehhehehehe yeah I’m very grateful to be back year. It’s been a trip 5 years in the making. 🇦🇺
Thanks for the kind comment. Hope you had a great Christmas and a cracking 2025 xx
Fighting the demons then making peace with them
Come Undone is my fave.
It was great to hear your thoughts on Better Man. It's a film I'm not going to seek out at the cinema but if it's ever on TV I'll give it a go sure!
@@PopcornChat thanks so much Sara. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I was defo a little bit prejudice when I saw the first stills of the film. It’s a bit of a barmy concept but it for the most works ☺️ z
Favourite track Has to be Angels
*Have you guys seen Better Man? If so what do you think of it? Is it getting any Oscar noms?*
Radio ? Really ? I think it’s one of his worst. I love no regrets, she’s the one, eternity, kids, come undone, sexed up and you know me
@@davidlynton9930 yeah I have a real soft spot for Radio. I completely forgot about Kids - that’s a great one and I love me some Kylie x
@ I hate kids really, just wanted to mention it because of Kylie 😂😂😂
@ hahahaha Kylie always deserves an honourable mention. We love a bit of Kylie 🥰 x
Sorry but not possible. The premise is atrocious. Nooooooooooo.
@@JSMITHSTONES I mean, I was skeptical when I learned about the film. I’d say give it a try - it might surprise you. It certainly did for me. X
