Great video chief. I just purchased an Ohlins fork and shock for my 05 R1. Thanks for the valuable information. I work on all my vehicles and I appreciate the advice from a true great mechanic. Nice clean shop too!!
@@dfakto Hi, thanks for the kind words. FGRT forks look cooler 😎😁 but I would say it depends on the rider.....the 30mm kit in those forks gives a lot of feel for your average club level rider or trackday rider whereas for ultimate performance you would probably be better to go for the FKR kit.
Hi, the factory torque settings are 35nm for brake calipers and the top yoke 26nm, bottom 23nm. We do not tighten the yokes that tight, especially if undoing and doing them up regularly it ends up stretching the actual clamp! Handlebar wise it depends on what manufacturer of bar you are using.
Glad to see you slipped the axle in before tightening the yokes - lovely work !

Great vid Sam. Looking forward to the next one
Well done with this Sam! Really enjoying it.
I think you should try a wired clip on mic to make the sound more consistent. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Cheers mate, Bluetooth mic is on the "to buy" list 👍😁
Hi great videos. Just a quick question what would one prefer the FGRT 219 over the FKR 102 cartridge kit?

Curious to know the torque settings youve used for, lower fork clamps, top yoke and clip ons. Also caliper bolts
