    Wait, why would you buy and replace the filter with standard, so the next guy first thing has to change it again? Why not just clean the filter, like it's intended for?

    • @PalmerPerf_
      @PalmerPerf_ 7 дней назад

      @@kawi704racing funnily enough a few of us in the trade were having this discussion recently. The reality is most aftermarket filters give you really minimal gains in bhp (like 1 maybe 2 at best) whilst doing a significantly worse job at filtering air to your engine, for 4 times the cost of a standard air filter. Plus this was a budget build and the original filter was a OE one also. Sub £15 for a pattern OE replacement! 👍😁. One of my customers was racing in a championship that was sponsored by a filter company in a pretty dry and dusty country.....all his engines had valve and valve seat damage due to how poor that particular brand was at doing it's job 🙈.

    so other than different cams and degreing of the cams, there is no other work for this supersport engine build? weird. because the older 2010 race kit gearbox can fit in this newer zx6 cases. and they have the transmission shafts and gears shimmed so the gears sit closer together so the lever throw will be less. i am really curious about the retrofitting of the older airbox with the top injectors. because the airboxes are the same dimensions.

    • @PalmerPerf_
      @PalmerPerf_ Месяц назад

      You must have missed the parts about the super finished gearbox and the ported cylinder head 🤷‍♂️. It also runs an aftermarket slipper clutch. The older model race kit gearboxes would be difficult to find even if we did want to use one, the option would be a Nova Racing gearbox. There are performance gains to be had from running secondary injectors like I mention in the video 😁👍. Thanks for your comments 🙏

    • @TheRealBhuado
      @TheRealBhuado Месяц назад

      @@PalmerPerf_ there is a new race kit for the 2024-2025 bikes. and it mentions that the transmission is interchangeable with the older 2010 transmission. i say this because i saw the part numbers that you use for the crank bearing halves and rods are the standard parts. while the race kit is using different halves that have different coating on them. i am not judging. i am just curious of the different combinations people are building engines on. and i know this is 2019 engine. the top feed injectors would be something i have not seen before retrofitted. cheers.

    • @PalmerPerf_
      @PalmerPerf_ Месяц назад

      @TheRealBhuado yes, for the extra expense and availability issues of the race kit bearings we've never really found any benefit over the standard items 👍. Interesting about the new race kit gearbox, again we don't tend to use them as the prices are normally very expensive and availability poor compared to using the Nova Racing gearboxes or super finished standard 👍
