I have been a Chelsea supported since 1998... Zola, Poyet, Desailly, Di Matteo, Vialli, Babayaro, etc.... And will still be supporting Chelsea as long as I can. My daughter is a Chelsea fan and my newborn will be too.

i became a chelsea fan in 2008 the day after the uefa final game,before that i didnt really know chelsea,i heard from my friends at school about man u and how great it was and most of my friends were supporting it ,i also heard from my friends that on saturday there was going to be a final match that man u was playing with another team although i knew little about football at the time somehow the match stuck in my head and on sunday after the match since we had no TV at the time nor electricity so i had no one to ask about the result so i went and stood on a roadside and kept asking strangers about the result of the match ,i was 9yrs old at the time,then one stranger told me that man u had won the game,and something inside that came from nowhere and i told myself i was going to support the team that lost the game although i had no idea what team it was,later i came to find out it was chelsea and nothing was the same since then

even though in our recent transfer windows we've spent so much less than most other top clubs (e.g Man United) and have still had good success. We sold players like David Luiz for way over his value and made quality signings like Fabregas for good value which meant that we actually made profit in our transfers. We won the league and league cup that year 💙

Thank goodness it wasn't the singer/jazz legend George Benson that wasn't a Chelski fan.
They really picked the wrong guy to do this... I don't doubt he's been a lifelong fan but he doesn't really encapsulate the experience of a Chelsea fan. The ups and downs over the last 20 years, the mutual support against a barrage of hate from other clubs, the disappointments as well as the success.

People here write such dumb comments. How is it glory hunting to support Chelsea? Especially how is it more glory hunting than supporting ManU, Arsenal or Pool? Just because those clubs were good before Chelsea doesn't mean people are not supporting them for the same reason. I started supporting Chelsea in 2007, so I am the prototype plastic. I wasn't into football before. People always support better clubs, thats why Arsenal has a larger fanbase than Hull or Millwall, don't see the glory hunting part.
