    why do bpl fanboys care so much about where the person who supports a club is from? like if you don't live in the backyard of the stadium you're just a glory hunter, a fake fan or whatever. If a person loves a club because they saw a game on TV, the first jersey they got was from that club and has supported that same club since that day through good and bad times why does it matter so much where that person is from? Sorry but your precious clubs would be nothing if the only people that supported it lived within a 2 mile radius of the damn city god dammit

      Football is all about supporting your local club and sticking with them through thick and thin, I don't mind David supporting Liverpool as he isn't English and probably had no one to support in Croatia but when people born n raised in London n support man Utd u think what is the point, I support my home town club Sheffield Wednesday and whatever happens I will support them but people who used to support Liverpool and now support man city because they are good are just glory supporters aren't true fans and have never gone through the tough times with their club. You have to go though the bad times to truly appreciate the good times.

    • @JKayFresh
      @JKayFresh 8 лет назад +8

      +Nat Ridley I absolutely agree with you. Football isn't big everywhere like it is in the UK for example and if you live in a small town and you don't have a local team I think its okay to support a club that's successful or whatever. But if that club doesn't win trophies at one point and the person starts supporting another club's that's successful, that's just some gloryhunting bullshit. If you love your club you should have the patience to wait decades to see you club win something.

    • @StevieGG08
      @StevieGG08 8 лет назад +4

      +Nat Ridley I love football but I don't have a local team to support and the league football of my country is corrupt and filled with twats. I fell in love with Liverpool when I watched them in the Uefa cup final against Alaves in 2001, I watched and supported them since them since I was a 7th year boy, I'm not a plastic fan, sir.

    • @FingersKungfu
      @FingersKungfu 8 лет назад +2

      Football is a sport. People support a winner, that's the fact of life; it's how we are fundamentally. Supporting your local team even though it's rubbish is admirable but there is a limit. England has about 40,000 registered football teams, and I doubt people know about their "local" non-league sides.
      But a team cannot survive with mediocrity, it needs to win to be competing in the football league. Also Football teams that win many honors deserve more fans. If Liverpool are not famous other teams would not imitate them and sing "You'll never walk alone." Leicester city got Thai billionaire owners because English football is big in Thailand and they want to invest in English football. Without these investors and management, LCFC will not witness the success they have now. More support means more money and more success. But first you have to attract supporters.

    Copa90 You should do a documentry about Carpi, a team in Italy who were in Serie D, The 5th tier of Italian football 5 years ago and were just promoted to the Serie A for the first time in their history and their ground is so small that they might have to increase the capacity to 20,000 for Serie A ground rules or regulations

    I think Istanbul, for a Liverpool supporter, was the moment that cemented your loyalty to the reds. I remember watching it in my house. I was young and I had two older brothers, a Chelsea fan and a United fan. 1-0 down in the first minute, "It's over already" 2-0 "This is getting embarrassing" 3-0 "We would've done better if we weren't screwed out of the semi" they said trying to get under my skin. Maybe it was just childish optimism but I still taught we'd comeback. The man in my profile picture got the first and I celebrated as if we just lifted the cup. Smicer of all people lining up the shot but it felt like nothing could stop us. The one time I genuinely felt sick was when Dida saved Alonso's pen. It was worse than anything (yes, even the slip you cunts). It was a miracle, a once in a lifetime moment that Alonso managed to get the rebound. Added to the previous two goals and then Dudek wonder saves. It was a greater force than human life, it was real passionate football. These moments are associated with Liverpool Football Club, these are the moments that you remember forever.

    I'm a lifetime AC Milan fan. I always think of Liverpool as the greatest and the most honorable rival we've had. The 2005 CL final is the best final I've ever seen: Milan lost, but the game was magnificent, full of drammacity. Liverpool fans never stopped singing and cheering for their team. I really hope for Liverpool to return great in England and europe also, as I wish the same thing for my team Milan. And why not, another CL final together ;)

      1. How they moved to Serbia of all places (from Croatia)
      2. Why they did. Maybe his family has Serbian roots, and that could be a valid reason.

Up being the 2005 UCL title but as a big 5 club i feel a little left out. This is the sad thing about chelsea (I'm a chelsea fan) I was born in chelsea in 1992 I was a fan ever since I was born and then in 2005 and over there started to be people that were not fans filling the stadium but before them there was a great crowd but as more people started coming in prices got higher so the true fans could not get in so I mostly go to away games as that's were the true Chelsea fans are they will travel to send there club play

      Joe Ross Liverpool as well, actually. I live in Nicosia, Cyprus. But as I child I never went to a game even though the tickets are not expensive and we have 2 clubs in the city. My parents didn't want me to go since there are flares and things being thrown etc. So I never had a connection with the teams and Cypriot football as a whole. One day I discovered Liverpool, we to the city quite often and the club is our family's club. I fell in love with the philosophy and style of the club, as well as the local scousers. And also my dad was at the infamous game against Nottingham forest, where 96 people were killed, just to point out how long he's been a fan himself.

    Vuj we're the same age but I've been going to the games for long enough to remember seeing Owen for the first time - in person - at Anfield and thinking he looked an imposter to Fowler's throne. It goes to show how tiered all this player perception stuff is. Most people slated Torres for leaving for Chelsea in 2012 but I wondered why Gerrard never did the same - who wouldn't want their favourite players to lift the big trophies? We're all different. We are Liverpool.

    It saddens me that people think the atmosphere most weekends at Anfield has always existed, it hasn't, it used to be phenomenal, every now and then it rises to the level for a game and maybe the atmosphere will swing back around, if you want a real Liverpool atmosphere before and after the game venture into the pubs around the ground, King Harry, The Albert, the Sandon, The Arkles, The Flat Iron, where many of the people who made the Anfield atmosphere legendary still frequent. Kop Block 306.

Switching players from heroes to villains all the time. Also alternating between calling the manager the right man for the job and calling for him to be sacked. Guy needs to form his own opinions because he changes his every week

    I can't understand that some Liverpool fans want Rodgers sacked. He performed a miracle last season. He got you in the Champions League again. Yes i know that you went out in the group stages, he hasn't won you any trophies in three years and you have been very bad season considering the money you spend. He has had one bad season, give him time. He is still very young (for a manager), you have the chance to have a great manager for many years to come. If you are wondering I'm a United supporter.
