I was so skeptical about Austin playing Elvis and Baz Luhrmann's style, but the whole film was AMAZING!!! the sets, the acting, the cinematography, and the music was full on huge and STUNNING. I have got to see this movie again to take it all in!

Also were Elvis is concerned there's alot of hateful snobbery in the establishment. Just think of all the Grammys he should have won for his emence and amazing music catolog.

I was thinking this lady was going to be rubbish but she did a great job. She listened to him and it felt she meant what she was saying. Austin's great, I feel so protective of him knowing he lost his mum at a young age. Can't wait to see what he does next.

Absolutely completely agree with you. He would be perfect as James Dean. A few years ago I thought maybe Timothee Chalamet would be a great Dean but I think Butler is even more closer in raw talent and charisma. He seems to naturally have an old school hollywood style and acting range very similar to James Dean or a young Brando or young Deniro or. even more contemporary actors like Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio when they were young. I don't know, Austin Butler just naturally exudes Dean like charisma. Even some pictures of him at Cannes Film Festival were very reminiscent of Dean in the 1950s. I hope Hollywood gets on board and cast him quick in a James Dean biopic or a proper remake of James Deans 3 films. very soon
For me I think timothee chalmet is closer to River Phoenix and Leonardo Dicaprio in acting styles and looks whereas Austin has more of that masculine vibe that makes me think of Brad Pitt or Brando. Both Austin and Timothee are very talented and intense actors but their vibes are very different on screen which I think makes for a nice contrast. Austin is very powerful and strong whereas Timothee commands attention in very empathic and softer way.

Also no matter how many movies you make the Elvis movie will always be the best.
Elvis alone, made Austin Butler my third favorite actor. Denzel Washington being #2 and Andy Serkis being #1. I’ve been trying to figure out which future MCU project I could see him in and I finally realized the X-Men whenever we get there. The only problem is that there are quite a few characters I can see him as that it’s hard to narrow it down to just one (specifically Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Pyro, and Gambit)
