    I swear. I've done a bootcamp....AND went to college. And this 1 hour lesson is FAR better than any pre course work for introducing students to HTML. In fact...Im telling everyone i know who wants to learn..to subscribe to this channel. Kudos brother. Your awsome!!!

    • @rox8078
      @rox8078 3 года назад +8

      ...this is horrifying, I'm looking at bootcamps right now and this video can't possibly cover everything you need to know about HTML. Accessibility, code auth, like there is no way.

    • @tariqbailey3306
      @tariqbailey3306 3 года назад +35

      @@rox8078 Its not meant to cover EVERYTHING. Its a crash course. Once you master this video. You move on to other things such as what you mentioned and it will make waaay more sense. Why pay all the money for a boot camp that is literally gonna do this video..just in a different way. But people do learn differently. If your a person that needs like a mentor or formal training then a bootcamp would be best for you. If you watch this video and take really good notes in your text editor its very useful. Then take the JavaScript crash course, then the Css one. Then start a project from front to back. Youll solve hiccups and learn while doing that. You'll be suprised. Trust me. Html is pretty easy to learn. Javascript a little more difficult yet doable from these vids if you really follow along. This hour video shouldnt only take you an hour if you do it right. More like 8 hours. Lol

    • @rox8078
      @rox8078 3 года назад +7

      @Tariq Bailey oh I meant for a boot camp not to cover everything in this video, not the video itself. I know that the video is just to get the ball rolling, but a boot camp should have given you everything you need 😅

      Same. Brad's videos trump both college and bootcamp and you can learn coding without counterproductive artificial pressures to satisfy arbitrary college and capricious boot camp timelines. There's no way to accelerate learning to code. Everyone has their own pace and coding consistently yields the most return over a period of time, not learning in a herd like livestock, always being chased by proverbial sheep dogs, forcing the flock to abandon one subject not well understood to move to the next and repeat this routine in a race to become a half assed developer as soon as possible. That's not going to put your career on a good foundation. Coding is a journey, not a race for largely fictional fortunes.

So for example, the series would start off with easier stuff like HTML & CSS, then Javascript, and then we would move on to more and more advanced stuff like setting up a functional registration form and newsletter. We would add more functionality to our site and learn more backend as the series goes on, like PHP. Those cramming ain't good and this is why getting high grades in school is pointless. Only time that was important to me was going to high-school and that was doing good in 8th grade for 9th grade. That is the only time I would study hard but from grade 3rd-7th, I should've just relaxed and study my OWN stuff.

      @@lokeshacm Honestly, asking if this is "current" is sort of a loaded question. Web development has been growing for decades now, and HTML is rarely, if ever, coded.
