this was a great video! thank you for the extra effort you put in during the con to get footage for this- i imagine vlogging while doing your first con is pretty hard when you already have a million things to focus on already!
OMG Otakon was my first convention ever so I was so nervous. I went with my brother and we thought the artist alley was the dealer's room. It wasn't until the second day that we realized that the dealer's room is like 200 ft to the right and BIG was an understatement. I went there by metro since I live nearby and I thought people said it was a small convention. I didn't know like 40k people was small.
I don’t even know I just was following the instructions 🥲 but I’m sure people who were alone or have mobility issues would have a hard time so it seems strange to me
i've really wanted to go to Otakon so this was really helpful. I live in Pennsylvania so I'd definitely have to get a hotel, but it's good to hear that you'd still recommend it even to non-locals.
Yeah it’s one of the biggest cons in the country so it worth for a lot of people! Dc is an expensive area to stay though so it is something to consider
Its really cool to see someone vlog their experience as a new artist alley artist, i think a lot of people would be soo intimidated to do such a big convention as their first con, but you did great! It just goes to show that you dont need a huge booth with a 6 foot wall of prints to table successfully
“L E A V E? I’m already LEAVIN!!” 🤣🤣💕
They can’t catch me 🫣

Wow literally Otakon is one of the biggest anime cons in the USA I would not ever think its small haha
I remember looking at graphs and I saw previous years it had attendees ranging between 400-800@@Meowroyaleart

That was such a messed up rule to put on folks who have to set up things.
Hotspots usually use the same cell service as your phone so it may not work inside either. P.S. love the content. Subbing now!
6:41 there was a torrential downpour? I must've missed it. If I remember correctly I thought it was just really sunny the entire weekend
It was one of those freak 20 minute summer downpours they just got unlucky. It was sunny all day afterwards 😂
I think "hand carry" means no motorized carts or forklifts etc?
A lot of artists made great profit in sales i heard, some even touching mid 5 figures in just 3 days.

Thank you so much! I kept feeling nervous I would end up in the red but I really had nothing to worry about 😅 at least with this con

That wagon rule feels a bit like ableism. 🤷♀️
That rule feels really shitty for people with disabilities
