Truly wish the Qilin had chosen Jacob first instead of Dumbledore. Dumbledore was kind of an obvious answer movie-wise, and it's kind of weird he was the one to be chosen first, given his past and all the stuff he was doing. But imagine if the SACRED, pure creature had chosen a MUGGLE as worthy when so many wizards despised Muggles at the time? It would have been awesome and revolutionary. Showing that Muggles weren't less capable or less of good people just because they were Muggles. Jacob was always trying his best to be nice and helpful, never wished bad on anyone, never killed or even tried to kill anyone. Then he could have refused saying he wasn't knowledgeable enough or something. I feel like even Newt would have been a better option that Dumbledore, because he was always understanding, and could have said he wanted to keep wandering the world to meet creatures instead, that he didn't want to be in an office for that job. Wish they had been a bit more original with that part.
Dumbledore doesn't become Headmaster till decades later. He becomes headmaster after Headmaster Dibbet sometime in the mid-1950s or mid-1960s. Voldemort attended Hogwarts during the late 1930 to mid 1940s, and Dibbet was headmaster during Voldemort's time at Hogwarts. 🏰
31:00 @KP different duel, Grindelwald led a magical side in ww2 (allied with the nazis) and Dumbledore won “the greatest duel ever seen” at the end of it which is when he won the Elder Wand and imprisoned Grindelwald in Nurmengard (which was Grindelwald’s prison for his opponents in the war). Also should add in the books toward the end of his life Grindelwald regretted his deeds and he didn’t tell Voldemort that Dumbledore won the wand from him (in fact he taunted Voldemort and laughed in his face when he tried to get Grindelwald to tell him, including successfully defending from a mind probe by Voldemort, and infuriated Voldemort enough to kill him while he was laughing at Voldemort’s inability to scare him)
There were supposed to have been 5 Fantastic Beasts movies made. Unfortunately, this series was canceled before we got to see the last 2 sequels of Fantastic Beasts films before they were made. It was supposed to have ended on the huge final battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald. We only got a mention of the fantastic battle in the Deathly Hallows book. But alas, it is not to be.💔 Most of us fans are hoping that, at the very least, maybe we might be able to get it in the form of a flashback in the new upcoming Harry Potter TV show. 🍀🤞
It is widely believed Tina isnt really in the film because the actress, Katherine Waterston, publicly opposed JK's views on transgender rights and JK didnt take that too kindly...
For me, this movie was a little confusing, but visually beautiful all around. I love Eulalie’s style (magic & wardrobe), but I wish we could have had Johnny Depp as Grindelwald. Rowling hasn’t written novels for these 3 movies, but I hope she does eventually 🤞🏼
I highly recommend reading the books if you haven't yet! You're given soooo much more information than in the movies! You learn a lot more about Grindelwald and Dumbledore's relationship, you learn more about the house elves, a lot of other things, and what I think was the biggest betrayal in the Harry Potter movies, you get a whole backstory about Voldemort in the sixth book! Like, many details about who his mom was, how she tricked his dad with love potions, how he left and she died in childbirth, how Voldemort went back, killed his dad and grandparents, and who had the resurrection stone. The half-blood prince storyline is also a lot more developed in the books. There are also relatively important characters who never made it into the movies. I really recommend reading them!
You know, Rita Skeeter wrote in her book windering if the duel between Dumbledore and Grindlepuss really happened, given they were an item, or whether Grindlepuss came out waving a white flag. I think since there was a lot of curses rebounding, one such went up and hit a branch of a tree Grindlepuss was crouching under, it fell on his head and knocked him out. And the Elder wand was Dumbledore's.
It's tricky, the Fantastic Beasts series is both creative, but also tends to feel like it's a bit all over the place. This was a fun journey, and I guess, we're off to whatever the next journey is!
Lally is American. I believe her accent might be the Transatlantic accent? It was really common in movies around this time, so much so that actors spent a lot if time learning it. Even the very well-educated during this period learned it and used it. It was a made up accent that blended the American and British accent, which is why it probably doesn't sound quite British to you (and not quite American for us). A good example of the Transatlantic accent was how Katherine Hepburn used it in her films.
Actually, not all wizards can fly like in the Harry Potter movies, even Death Eaters can't fly like smoke. In the Harry Potter books, it is known that they can fly without The tools are Voldy, Dumbledore, and Snape only *When the Order of the Phoenix saw that Voldemort could fly while escorting from Dudley House to Ron's house Harry, they were very surprised. Wizards can't make food instantly with their magic like bringing the dead back to life. They can only duplicate to a limited extent.
@@Heather61776 He already did a movie reaction for Crimes of Grindelwald. It might have been removed after a few days by RUclips if you don't see it listed on his channel.
what happened to Crimes of Grindelwald??? I like this movie more than Secret of dumbledore. i think its because of missing of Johnny Depp!! (damn that amanda herad! and glad he won!) Secret of Dumbledore feels bit off and bit all over the map.
This movie wasn’t the greatest for me. Some scenes were too blank/quiet, but I hope they continue the series. I need to visually see how Dumbledore got that Elder Wand. Next movie to watch: READY OR NOT on Hulu and THE MENU which I think is still on HBOMax (especially if you loved Knives Out). Plus, notice how Grindelwald having his charges dropped, then being able to run for Supreme Leader of ICW is parallel to Trump running for president then having his charges dropped. 👀👀👀👀👀👀
I wasnt a big fan of the blood pact honestly, it takes agency away from Dumbledore & tries to erase his darker past in favor of making Grindelwald seem very mustache twirly
Yeah I definitely prefer how it was in the book. Dumbledore admitted he was a coward for not facing his fears and Grindelwald sooner. A stupid blood pact wasn't the reason.
Nicholson is amazing but the fact they suddenly recast Depp takes a way a lot from the story continuation and ability to get lost in the world. That is one of the main reasons the series ended on a mid note
@signeturnbull5726 No. It does not. There are no scheduled dates for any more Fantastic Beasts sequels at this present moment. They haven't even so much filmed a sequel.
The 2nd film was taken down but has now been re-uploaded so please do check that out. Thanks guys

23:08 Actually, Gamps law states that food cannot be created from nothing. Pre-existing food can be summoned, enlarged or multiplied, however.

🍀🤞
It hasnt been officially cancelled.
its been put on hold
And I hope they will talk about how Voldemort start from Tom and also Nagigi(snake), how she became Voldemort’s snake!!
That's how the giant squid landed up in the Great Lake.
tina and newt’s theme played when tina showed up is always so magical, their theme is just so pure sounding
It is widely believed Tina isnt really in the film because the actress, Katherine Waterston, publicly opposed JK's views on transgender rights and JK didnt take that too kindly...
Technically the production's statement was "scheduling conflicts" but it doesn't take much to read between the lines
Guess we'll be waiting for that TV show now
Ok now we need the glass onion reaction for the knives out “series” and this movie called The Impossible I think you’d like ‼️🕺🏽
glass onion out tomorrow
42 secs. That's how long the video was up until I clicked on it. DEFINITION of WANNA SEE SOME REAL SPEED

Grindelwald used the same spell to resurrect the Qillin that Snape used to heal Draco in Half-Blood Prince when Harry hit him with Snape's spell
5:04...My man Newt don't need no broom

HP was more all over the place. Fantastic Beasts feels a lot clearer with what the story is about.
no way you said for them to text or use Facebook when this takes place in the 1930s 😆😆

Fantastic Beast takes place in 1920's
I believe it goes
og fantastic beasts
Crimes of grindelward

there is suppose to be 5 movies but the chances of 4 much less 5 coming out are slim
W DROPPP
You missed the second movie The Secrets of Grindelwald
He didn’t. I think the video got taken down? I watched it last week I think.
Why did we go from the 1st to the 3rd?
We didn't, maybe he had to delete it for some reason? But he did post the second one

Yeah I'm confused
