I have Bz176 and Caliban. and I like playing caliban much more. Likewise, I prefer E100 over 60tp. It doesn't matter what people advertise, what matters is how enjoyable the game is, how many people, so many opinions.
For those who want to meme around the battlefield, THIS is the tank for you as well as KV-2. The Gonsalo is significantly better but that one is rare in the premium shop.
i just bought the tank and it fits my gamestyle perfectly! i just shoot 2 shots then go afk for a minute and my ammo is fully loaded. this thing is a real dopamine farm
Caliban is one of my favorites. But it really deserves a little buff. It has great power/weight so can maintain speed well but it's limited severly by its top speed limit, which I would like to see increased. Compare it's gun handling to BZ and caliban is much worse while they have the exact same reload, I'd like to see Caliban gun handling improved a little bit. Maybe the reload too but that might be too much.
i feel like there are 2 ways to give this a lil buff and gun handling shouldnt be one of them because this is not a sniper, its a derpy. but like you said one way would be to make him significantly faster (almost like changing him to a medium tank). the other way would be to buff up his armour because like i said its in no way a sniper but a close quarter engagement vehicle. i dont want it to be an IS3 but it would be nice if this would ba an actaul heavy tank that could at least bounce some shots which is currently not the case. either way a small bump up in AP for the standard armour would be great as well which would not really be a buff but rather a balancing since newer t8 tanks have significantly better armour overall
I love playing my Caliban. I just wish the reload was just a Scosh better. either full clip or in between clips. which I could mix match the HE and AP together.

Comparing this tank to the BZ it really puts into perspective how incompetent WG are when it comes to game balance. The Caliban and BZ are a similar concept right? Tier 8 heavy tank with a derp gun. But…. The BZ has better accuracy, aim time, penetration, dpm, armour and mobility What does the caliban have over the BZ? 50 alpha damage……..yeah that sounds about fair to me, the BZ really needs all of those benefits to make up for that missing 50 damage.

I never thought I will say that but... unlike BZ 176, Calliban is a balanced tank. The thing about this tank is it is a support tank, not a heavy tank. You should never drive this tank alone due to hyper long reload and very RNG depended gun. It is a fun tank that is unlike anything else in the game. One game you will do 0 dmg, and other game u will do 2K or more. 2 round magazine is good only for "fear factor" (you miss & hide but no one will be bold enough to go around the corner & shoot you cuz they know u have 2nd shoot) If you shoot 2 times however & u are alone it is GG.
caliban is more fun to play because you can slap enemies for 1700 in 4 sec also a lot of people underestimate caliban. You can also shoot behind hill form 3rd person. I slapped patriot in huldown for 900 from 3rd person if would wg add caliban reloading mechanic from italian heavies and buff reload for first shot caliban would be really good. Plenty of times it happend to me that i had to take shot to kill tank with 200 hp like 5 sec before reload then wait for 50 sec to reload worst part about caliban is that it is really dependent on MM and maps
Skill, I just wanted to let you know that spaced armor, especially around gun mantlets is a little bit bugged in the index page, or rather I think it is bugged in the game and index page doesnt show it. Example is T32 stock turret gun mantlet is an autopen, 0 millimeters of armor, but index page shows it as having actual armor. Not a big deal but thought id let u know
Only reason why i played that tank before i trade tha is AP ammuniton and i think only good stuff on tha is that. AP pen you can easy pen te tier X with 300 pen
Skill how on earth is your aiming circle so small??? I use bonds stabilizer too and my aiming is 2 weeks... bloom big enough to read in the chat on a second screen xD Turbo also essential to do the assassinations/flank but in your video the tank moves fast enough. only thing I dont use is food... I am really puzzled One thing I will say is if you face Caliban shoot its side armour, practically any gun will overmatch it so even a 1% angle face on is 100% pen it is really that weak in the side So much fun finding BZ176 who thinks they are safe, shooting his roof for 1700 and then run away going ehehehehe
He uses a mod that makes the reticle smaller (the reticle in game is actually bigger than the true dispersion circle by just under 30%). Obviously is doesn't make the gun more accurate, but it's a truer representation of where the shells may actually go. Pretty sure the mod is in Aslains pack, among others.
rly .. imagine hulldown position that Caliban have overmatch for BZ's roof when using AP's so practicaly whole turret is one weakspot and Caliban can do aprox. 1200 dmg in 6 seconds .. BZ can penetrate Caliban's turret once per 20 seconds only if he will hit cupola .. that can be partly hidden by raising the gun up .. strange but I cant see those 25 steps :)

This tank should have 20 seconds on both shells. Having 40 seconds on the other shell makes this tank absolute trash sadly. Also the accuracy is laughable when tanks like BZ 176 exist
@@meinungsfreiheit7004 nah not 20 on both. 23 on first shell and maybe like 30 on second shell, otherwise you don't get any penalty for only firing one shell at a time. And it's not a trash tank imo, it just needs a very specific equipment setup, an excellent crew and good game knowledge
@wotdragonracer5624 if things like IS-3A and Bz176 exists, the Caliban can exist with 20/20. As someone having it 3 marked, I say its trash and gun handling at least should be on bz176 level

Pathetic reload time... Wouldn't pay 1Euro for a tank that is basically armoured Arty. Even with Skills talents its hard work. Put an average player in it and you have wasted your money.
If you know how to make work KV-2 then caliban is literally the same, same playstile, same gun type, same potential and trollish armor that work only once in a while

This game is the worst garbage. All these results 15:0; 15:1,..... 12:2 and so on clearly show that there is a lot of manipulation going on with the matchmaking and RNG. These Belarusians can't help but rip off their customers. Hopefully you'll get your comeuppance from Wargaming soon.

Caliban can be extremely good fun. Its not a great tank, but it can slap extremely hard. The right ammo is gold ap.

You should never shoot two shells, you always want to have one in the mag - first tanks Skill sees: take two for the team!

It's kind of a frustrating tank because of the shell velocity and accuracy. It can deal good damage, but you have to work hard for that damage.

Caliban compared to BZ has much better penetration numbers and it can do damage to tier 10 tanks while BZ can do nothing...

Tier 8 premium "KV-2". Fun as hell, love it to bits. Hardly competitive though, which isn't a bad thing tbh.

I just use mostly gold ammo. The pen is decent and still a good whack of alpha. I swear whenever I use the standard HE I get like 0 pens
