I didn't click with the AMX M4 51. The armor would either block 9k against noobs, or block nothing against people who know how to play, and that's when you need the armor to work. Ended up selling it without getting the 54 which is apparently much worse. I like the AE Phase 1 much better. Similar mobility, similar DPM, much smaller and much better turret.
I didn't like the 51 for the same reasons, but the Tier 10 works better in that regard with at least 85mm side armor. The 130 mm gun is the main reason for it being one of my favourite heavy picks at tier 10.
I hate this tank for same reason. So many weak spots at the front. I dont understand why this tank has to have those weak cheeks, top of the turret and lower hull. Then for example is-7 has only small weak spot at the top and nose but if you can go hulldown its hard to penetrate but amx is far from that.

65 t - I prefer to play with the top turret. The stock one is easily penetrated by ANY opponents, even tier 6 (in the commander's cupola). The top turret has armor of cupolas about 200 mm. This allows you to confidently press tiers 6-7. When I play against tiers 9-10 - opponents penetrate any turret almost anywhere. At the same time, you can install a much more comfortable gun on the top turret. And the additional 30 meters of viewing range will also be very useful. But in any case, this is definitely a passable tank. It is slow, huge, with insufficient armor. Only the top gun is decent, which somehow sweetens this cactus.

Becasue the gun handling is just so good so you dont really need Vstab, You also want hardening so you can do the bait peek with your hull and not get your tracks blown off. Tier 10: I have the same setup but i could see people wanting stab on the tier 10 because the bigger gun is less accurate but I still went with the same equipment as the tier 9. I used small gun for tier 9 and big gun for tier 10
The 90mm F3 is a good alternative to the 105 on the ARL, also the DCA 45 works on the M4 45 because it has better soft stats. French heavy was the first line I grinded back in 2013...I stopped at 50 100 because it wasn't for me. One of my best games was in the BDR with 13 kills if I remember correctly.
I'm in the tier 7 and use the small gun for the better stab thinking that fast pick is the way but quite struggle, tried the big one like you told and it is so good that i feel like marking the tank. Very useful advice! Thank you iyouxin!!
You should also mention at tier 8 with stock turret you get 10 degrees gun depression, upgraded has only 8, and you cannot use big gun with stock turret, which is not bad though
liked, always enjoy your videos. when i play my e100 i always come against the amx m4 heavies. although their cupolas on top are big and weakly armored, but some good amx drivers will try to till their tanks up and use the gun depression to shoot down at you, while hiding their hull. it is really annoying to deal with. iyouxin can you possibly make a video on weakspots of tanks? back then become things like tanksgg were available, people would make those videos on tanks weakspots...i have a lot of trouble dealing with lowe or t32/t183 in tier 8 games. i know where their weakspots are, lowe coupla but i have never penetrated it one single time in my life. and t32, the coupla is very strong, there is a thin bar below it and for some reason, i have never hit it once although i know they are there.

After asking everyone I can at least on the US server no one has heard of anyone getting banned, being permanently or temporarily in a very long time. After further discussion, some people now wonder if they are not banning anyone for fear of a lack of players or losing potential customers. I have in so many battles had situations where I was pushed out into fire by friendly just to use me for cover or just because they wanted that spot and were willing to ruin my game to get it. This has to end this era of WOT is probably the worst I have ever experienced.

This tanks is a real pain, vs tier8 no probles you are a god, vs tier 10 and decent tier 9's you are useless, i managed to get a game where i blocked 8k with m4 54 vs 2 t110e3 and jg.pz100 but since then not so much=))))
I play a support role in battles with tiers 9-10. For example, there is an allied 4005, I choose a position nearby to save it from flying LTs or MTs. Or I go with allied heavies, but I also play a support role. I don't try to play from the armor. The gun is normal. Therefore, it is a cactus that stabs with needles with dignity.
Chito SP - the armor is only good against "honest" players. As soon as "yellow" shells come into play - the armor is penetrated anywhere. I do not justify that player, he definitely should have driven up to the base and helped you. But I understand why he wanted to play the role of a sniper in a battle with 8 levels. Overall, the situation was very funny. I had a good laugh. At first I was angry at people like that, but now I treat them with humor.
