A beautiful bowl, and I enjoy the way you demonstrate. So pleased Milliput are producing new colours, they look great, and look forward to hopefully seeing more colours. Purple would be nice.
I've been giving some thought to colouring milliput. Glad they're trialing it themselves. I'd get excited at a full rainbow of colours. I wonder if they'd blend... Like red and yellow to make an orange?
Love your work and I was inspired to give it a try. I was extremely happy with it and now ordered a bunch more of the Milliput to cover all the available colors. I hope they do introduce more colors and that we can get them in the States. Please keep on inspiring us and enjoying the wonderful work.
Thank you very much Richard, I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Any new colours should be available in the USA when they are released. Glad I inspired you to try it. Cheers Jim
The new colors are great! I would also like to see a turquoise or blue color as well. This is one of my favorite bowls you've made. I like the simple yet colorful inlay bowls you do, just great Jim.
These colors are amazing. I would like to see turquoise, purple, pink, and these three colors. You work is great. Thank you for always explaining what and why you are doing something.
Absolutely stunning bowl. Turquoise would be beautiful as well as purple and pink which looks amazing with so many other colors like white, blue, and black. Xxxxxxx
Jim Overton - Jimson's Stuff looking forward to the turquoise. Happy holidays to you and your family, may they be full of moments to treasure always. Hope 2019 be a wonderful year for you and your RUclips channel xxxx
as always Jim great job ,glad to see milliput is making more colours and if you find you don't like the Robert sorby tool you can always give it me, all the best
I do love your bowls with milliput and this is another beautiful one. The colours are very festive and would be good for Christmas things. Although I don't use it myself, I would have to offer votes for blue and purple as new colour ideas.
Another great video, love the new milliput colours lets hope they get enough interest to put them and maybe more into production, I’ll be in line to get some.
Jim Overton - Jimson's Stuff Ha ha, no worries Jim. Presumably all of these colours can be mixed to produce a myriad of different colours once the two parts of the pack have been mixed? Thanks again Jim Best wishes Paul
Good job Jim. Glad to see milliput are looking at these other colours. Hopefully they will go with it and send it down to Australia. I use it for similar inlays in my turnings.Still learning but I love the effect it gives. All the best, Mark
Love the new colours, I'd like to see purple and the yellow could be deeper/richer. great to see you at Makers Central, you look well on the mend now. C
I love the red, green and yellow also the blue. To be honest any other colours would be nice, great bowl though, true craftsmanship shining through again Jim.
Jim that bowl came out beautifully. I'm really loving the new colors of the Milliput! The bowl came out beautifully, and I'm sure Milliput is proud that you did them Justice! I also wanted to mention that you are losing some weight. I noticed a few videos back but I didn't say anything. I hope your health is well! Many blessings to you!
Jim, that's a beautiful bowl, the new colors look good on it. For new colors I would like to see a blue, purple, and turquoise if it's possible to make them. Or, I would truly like to see Milliput, come out with some dyes or tints so we could use to come up with our own colors. Thanks Jim, this was a very informative video, I look forward to viewing your next one.
Thank you, Jim, for a very interesting video. I'm delighted that Milliput is introducing more colours and, as with yourself, I would be very keen on turquoise. I've been using the Sorby Turnmaster for several years but with the Sovereign handle. I too enjoy hollowing out with a bowl gouge but I've developed my own own technique for removing material rapidly using the square tip on the Turnmaster. I present the tool level on the tool rest and start cutting with the point at an angle of 45 degrees and see-saw back and forth. The interior needs a lot of refinement afterwards but it certainly removes material rapidly.
HI JIM great to see Milliput trying to introduce new colours, for my two pennyworth I would like to see blue as well as what you have just tried All the best Bernie
Very nice turning. I like the colors. A nice deep blue would be pretty plus with blue, green, yellow, and red you could make nearly any color by mixing them.
Blue would be nice Jim, It would work well with the new Yellow. More choice of colour can only be a good thing and would surely widen the market. That is another beautiful bowl :) All the best J.
I love this project. I’d love blue’s but would love a whole range of colours really like fimo but not sure if that will happen but this is a great start. Beautiful turning as always Jim :-)
I have used the white and black and I like the product. Red and some other colors would be nice. Colors to mix or use together to obtain a marble or Granit look. Colors to celebrate the Holidays would be nice. Looking forward to seeing additional colors.
Very cool and great news about the possibility of more Milliput colours - as you know(!) colouring Milliput with dyes etc is a pain. Basically a rainbow palette would be great - cyans/blues/purples especially.
Great colours. In terms of colours I guess the 6 main colours for a start (red, yellow, (royal) blue, then green, cyan magenta. They look great, really hope milliput expand to other colours.
YAY Milliput, i agree, id like to see a Turquoise, maybe a royal/navy blue too and maybe a Variety of greens for Camouflage effects, then of course, theres pinks and purples would look awesome too and if possible a glow in the dark one would be incredible
Like the miiliput. I have used the colors they have and would like any others that they produce, but if they could do some metallics, that would be fantastic. Using the milliput to fill voids in the wood has worked well for me.
I would echo Johnathon's comment as well others already posted, need blue. Definitely the primary colours and maybe a couple of popular secondary colours. There's potential here for crafters, model makers and artists too! A gold, silver and bronze may be worth considering but unsure about the production requirements. Selling as a boxed set at a favorable price would establish the user with the full compliment to which they could top up as needed as they are used. Jury out on the Sorby tool, I'm not a carbide turner (yet!). Oh, and a great project as always Jim (he he).
It depends on which brand, some use the flute width and some use the shank. I have 3 different ones, all with different shaft diameters. Glad you like the infill.
Loving the new colours, I will be buying them when they are available. We need purple and blue. Great piece of work with the Ash. Oh and if you don't like the new Robert Sorby tool I will take it off your hands 😂
Any additional colors would be welcome, Blue would be nice. I've tried using sculpy because of the additional color selection but it just doesn't hold up to turning like the Milliput does.
Brilliant job. I’ve been using Milliput for some time. Love those colours, but a really deep blue would be great. When do you think that the new colours will be available?
Thank you very much Graham. Not sure when the new colours will be available, Milliput are a very small family run business and it is quite a big step for them to expand their range but hopefully won’t be too long. Cheers, Jim
What domestic hardwoods do you have? On the Milliput they should make a color wheel.. x amount to x amount make this color.. The polymer clay makers have a cut chart matt for colors..
Great video as always Jim. Lovely colours, in addition i would like to see a blue, turquoise and maybe a gold and silver if that was possible. I use gold Rub n Buff a lot but a gold Milliput would be great!
When I was at makers central they did say it was possible to make your own colours I think with certain artist pigments. Cant remember exactly but maybe an idea for a future video.
Blue, blue and blue.
Great colors on this beautiful turn.
Lee
Thank you very much Lee. Cheers, Jim
I love the new Milliput colors!!!! The green and red would be great for Christmas turning projects.
Thank you very much. Cheers, Jim
A beautiful bowl, and I enjoy the way you demonstrate. So pleased Milliput are producing new colours, they look great, and look forward to hopefully seeing more colours. Purple would be nice.

Looks great mate . I love these colours . I want purple 🤗 and all of these would be wicked 🤪👊🏽👊🏽👍🏽
Yes Purple, and also PINK!
I to think that a royal purple would be beautiful.
My first thoughts were purple and lilac, but when you suggested turquoise that sounded even better.
And that's a superb bowl as well...
I've been giving some thought to colouring milliput. Glad they're trialing it themselves. I'd get excited at a full rainbow of colours. I wonder if they'd blend... Like red and yellow to make an orange?
Thank you very much mate. If they produce blue then it should be possible to make purple by mixing with red. Cheers, Jim
Love your work and I was inspired to give it a try. I was extremely happy with it and now ordered a bunch more of the Milliput to cover all the available colors. I hope they do introduce more colors and that we can get them in the States. Please keep on inspiring us and enjoying the wonderful work.

I do love your bowls with milliput and this is another beautiful one. The colours are very festive and would be good for Christmas things. Although I don't use it myself, I would have to offer votes for blue and purple as new colour ideas.

Ha ha, no worries Jim.
Presumably all of these colours can be mixed to produce a myriad of different colours once the two parts of the pack have been mixed?
Thanks again Jim

Yes they can be blende once mixed. Cheers, Jim
Love those colors
Thank you very much Thomas. Cheers, Jim
Agree a blue would be a good addition

Nice effect Jim the new colours look great. Gold & Silver would look fab. How about metal effect Milliput now that would be something!
Thanks Ed. I have spoken to Milliput about metallics, they are looking into it. Cheers, Jim
Great bowl Jim, those colours are certainly interesting! Nice tool reviews ! 👍🍺
Thank you very much Dave. Cheers, Jim
Good job Jim. Glad to see milliput are looking at these other colours.
Hopefully they will go with it and send it down to Australia.
I use it for similar inlays in my turnings.Still learning but I love the effect it gives.
All the best, Mark
Thank you very much Mark. Cheers, Jim
SUPERB ! Magnifique ! 😲
Thank you
Looks great Jim, a pearlised range of colours would look great too!
Thank you very much Phil. Cheers, Jim

Love the new colours, I'd like to see purple and the yellow could be deeper/richer. great to see you at Makers Central, you look well on the mend now. C
Thank you very much Clive. Cheers, Jim
I love the red, green and yellow also the blue. To be honest any other colours would be nice, great bowl though, true craftsmanship shining through again Jim.
Thank you very much Andy, much appreciated.
Cheers
Jim
I'm not sure if it's possible but a range of metallic colours would be good (silver, gold and copper)
Not sure whether metallic colours are possible but Milliput will no doubt tell me. Cheers, Jim
Do you sell on Ebay or Etsy?
Cracking bowl Jim! Would be nice of milliput to make up a selection box of colours so users could make up their own shades/colours👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you very much Alan . I know Milliput are considering several options. Cheers, Jim
Thank you very much Tracy. Yes did lose some weight when I was unwell, unfortunately I seem to have put a lot of it back on☹️. Cheers, Jim
Jim, that's a beautiful bowl, the new colors look good on it. For new colors I would like to see a blue, purple, and turquoise if it's possible to make them. Hi Jim Nice job love the colours the more colours milliput can bring out the better take care. Y.N.W.A. Paul
Thank you very much Paul. Cheers, Jim
Great job Jim. I think they need more of these colours and if not more as it's quite restricted on what you do.
Well done!
Thank you very much Paul. Cheers, Jim
Great looking bowl Jim, love the new colors too.
Thank you very much Carl, it was great to have some new colours to play with. Cheers, Jim
Like the bowl, blue and gold would be nice

Thank you very much Mick. Cheers, Jim
I love those colours, would like to see maybe a variety of the rainbow colours would be good. Great video Jim

Definitely be nice to see purple. And blue to round out the basic colors.
Thank you very much. Cheers, Jim
wonderful bowl .
Thank you very much. Cheers, Jim
Blue would be nice Jim, It would work well with the new Yellow. More choice of colour can only be a good thing and would surely widen the market. That is another beautiful bowl :) All the best J.
Thank you very much John. Cheers, Jim
Looks great!
Thank you very much Barry, yes it is fairly easy to blend colours
Cheers
Jim
Jim, like the new colors. Coming from New Mexico I would love to have Turquoise as my first choice.
I hope turquoise is possible too, it is very difficult to achieve proper turquoise like the stone. Cheers, Jim
I love this project. I’d love blue’s but would love a whole range of colours really like fimo but not sure if that will happen but this is a great start. Beautiful turning as always Jim :-)
Thank you very much Pam. Milliput are a very small company so I think the range of colours will be limited. Cheers, Jim
Tell Milliput those colours are great, but also pink, purple and gold would be wonderful inclusions? Fantastic job, as usual! Cheers, Sean
Thank you very much Sean. I think some colours you would have to make yourself by blending other colours. Cheers, Jim
I have used the white and black and I like the product. Red and some other colors would be nice. Colors to mix or use together to obtain a marble or Granit look. Colors to celebrate the Holidays would be nice. Looking forward to seeing additional colors.
Many thanks for watching Richard.
Cheers
Jim
Great video Like those three colours would also like jade green vibrant pink and purple would be nice.
Thank you very much Sam. Cheers, Jim
Great bowl, great colours. I'd like torquoise, purple and orange (but not for the same project). I'd love to know how to colour it myself.
Thank you very much Adrian. Yes that combo would be a bit much😂. Cheers, Jim
that turned out beautiful Jim, I think Blue and Green would be nice to have to mix with white.
Thank you very much. I have a new colour to demo, hopefully video coming soon. Cheers, Jim
Very cool and great news about the possibility of more Milliput colours - as you know(!) colouring Milliput with dyes etc is a pain. Basically a rainbow palette would be great - cyans/blues/purples especially.
Thank you very much Owen, I will keep everyone posted on any developments. Cheers, Jim
Excellent, very nice...
Cheers...
Thank you very much Adam. Cheers, Jim

Thank you very much Jamie. It should be able to blend your own colours eventually. Take care mate. Cheers, Jim
Is it possible to mix the colors? Like could you mix green and blue and maybe a tiny bit of white to make a teal?
Hi Zach, yes it is possible to blend colours and Milliput are developing some new colours including a turquoise.
Cheers
Jim
Love the new colors.... I would add blue.... turquoise is another good color.
👍🏻👍🏻thanks Dean. Cheers, Jim
Like the miiliput. I have used the colors they have and would like any others that they produce, but if they could do some metallics, that would be fantastic. Using the milliput to fill voids in the wood has worked well for me.
Thank you very much. A lot of people would like metallics. Cheers, Jim
Thank you very much Stephen, totally agree with you on the colours. I think production costs would be a bit high with metallics. Cheers, Jim
Turquoise and Navy Blue would be my choices for new colors.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻cheers, Jim
love it do you know when the lillyput colours will be availible in the UK. yours Ron
Thank you very much Ron, the new colours should be available early next year. They are still under development at the moment.
Cheers
Jim
1/2" bowl gouge. HELP! Is that the flute width or the diameter of the tool shank? Nice infill.
Thanks Graham, cheers, Jim😂
Any additional colors would be welcome, Blue would be nice. I've tried using sculpy because of the additional color selection but it just doesn't hold up to turning like the Milliput does.
Thank you very much Kris. Cheers, Jim
I agree with the silver, gold and copper. but a full range of rainbow colors, with a few shades of blue would be wonderful
Many thanks for watching Glenn
Cheers
Jim
When are the red and green colours coming out please, Jim?
I’m not sure Paul, the turquoise is definitely out next month.
Cheers
Jim
Royal blue maybe? Or Pink. Can the colours be mixed?
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Brilliant job. I’ve been using Milliput for some time. Love those colours, but a really deep blue would be great. When do you think that the new colours will be available?
Thank you very much Graham. Not sure when the new colours will be available, Milliput are a very small family run business and it is quite a big step for them to expand their range but hopefully won’t be too long. Cheers, Jim
Beautiful
Thank you very much Irene. Cheers, Jim
What domestic hardwoods do you have? On the Milliput they should make a color wheel.. x amount to x amount make this color.. The polymer clay makers have a cut chart matt for colors..
I use sycamore a lot because it is cheap and inlays look good on it. Someone else suggested a mixing chart. Cheers, Jim
Great video as always Jim. Lovely colours, in addition i would like to see a blue, turquoise and maybe a gold and silver if that was possible. I use gold Rub n Buff a lot but a gold Milliput would be great!
Yes metallics would be good but expensive. Cheers, Jim
I would like to make up my own colours as and when.
I would like to see blue or blue green ?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻cheers, Jim
Hi Jim its amazing how you have gave the bowl a Jamacan look to it. Violet and electric blue would be great to see and use
Thank you very much, yes a vivid blue would be good. Cheers, Jim
RYG are good. A range of other colour would also be good.
Love the bowl!
Thank you very much Peter. Cheers, Jim
When I was at makers central they did say it was possible to make your own colours I think with certain artist pigments. Cant remember exactly but maybe an idea for a future video.
It is possible but difficult and messy. Cheers, Jim
Love it
Thank you very much Irene. Cheers, Jim
