Fun fact: Charlie Adler Low-lights voice actor in the cartoon would later go on to voice cobra commander in G.I.Joe Resolute and G.I.Joe Renegades.
He's like a Clint Eastwood guy, not social and he thrives off nightmares, I remember LL and I like his character plus snipers are always cool. well done 💪

I was just speaking about this. Lowlights story was extra dark (no pun intended), even by GI Joe standards. It really resonated with me as a kid, to push on and be brave

That episode got me to learn more about lucid dreaming.
One of the best characters of the cartoon. Didn’t get used very much in the original 155 original series run. Some of the info you used is incorrect, although I don’t blame you. The M4 carbine wasn’t fielded until 1997 and don’t think the ACOG was fielded until the 90’s as well. You see Snake Eyes mount low lights scope onto Leathernecks rifle in Sierra Gordo.
Low Light would have been in the AMU or Army Marksmanship Unit. They are based in Fort Benning GA.
Low Light's quotes were savage in the show.
His story was so grim. It was definitely a stand out!
Low lighting was freaking awesome in the cartoon in my opinion. He consider my favorite G.I. Joe character, alongside with quick kick, wild bill, and snake eyes.

Lowlight was always a favorite of my Joe collection.Along with Mutt,Blowtorch,Recondo,Stalker and Beachhead.And i always liked Chuckles also.I think it was the shirt lol

There was this one episode from the DIC series - Night of the Creepers - where Low Light's got a fear of ghosts. Kind of a dark episode as well, especially for that particular series. Kind of plays on his timidness from childhood a bit, which I could appreciate. I'm loving this channel. I keep finding more joes that I get curious about for their back stories. Thanks for your hard work.
Butsn as an older kid by that time ( thirteen) having a kids show deal with domestic abuse and child trauma that bluntly was shocking

I like Low-lights origin in the cartoon a lot better than on the file card. Low-lights bio in the order of battle Mini-series is very similar to his origin in the cartoon I think Hasbro had Larry Hama change it because they didn't want references to child abuse in bios for children's toys. I also prefer Low-light in the cartoon cause we did learn more about him and he was more developed as well.
I know this is mainly a comic channel; but wished you touched on the animated series more....his Sunbow spotlight episode was great, and he he had a major point in DiC series ferreting out Scoop. The piece de resistance? the line in "Arise Serpentor, Arise" Part 5:
Lifeline: "Hey Low-Light! Hasit ever occured to you there might be an easier way to settle disputes?"
Low-Light " Yeah Lifeline, it's called a gun."

I would have to agree here. Lowlight's one of the joes that really did a lot in the cartoon - in Sunbow and DIC. They kept him pretty solid throughout both series.
Low Light really stands out he's a stealthy cool and kinda (excuse the pun) dark character, my favourite Marauder and my favourite 86 Joe 🌙

i think this is their only sniper. they have a heavy weapons specialist, some machine gunners, laser gunners, demomen, a medic, a technician, some infiltrators, commandos, a spy, a bunch of infantry assault riflemen, and CQC soldiers. but they only have ONE joe thats KIND OF a sniper, which is this guy. i mean they have a sniper (whos rlly a designated marksman) in one of their cheesy live action movies with The Rock...
I read somewhere that Spirit had sniper training, dunno if it was ever used in any Joe media

i always liked LowLight, BeachHead and Flint as my top 3
LowLight and Flint were always captains of cool. It took me growing up and floating around the real world to appreciate Beachhead, and where he was coming from. As a kid I just thought he was a d*ck with the way he treated the Rawhides, but really any decent commander or even private sector manager type would have the same issues with them he did.
And the crowd ain't the only thing that's gone bananas!
As a kid him and Sci-Fi was 2 of my favorites
His V1 Figure is hands down one of the best GI Joe ARAH OG figures in the line. Loved having Lowlight, Shockwave, Blocker, and Falcon as my go to team.

All removable pieces
Lowlight was one of the worst voice changes between Sunbow and DiC. Original Lowlight sounded like Clint Eastwood, then they went with a wildly different sound. Also Lady Jaye lost that Kathleen Turner rasp, and Flint became extremely Southern sounding.
Why I loved this character. The Clint Eastwood vibe.
I dont think I ever saw the Dic one, but you are so right about Lady Jaye. That gravely voice so fit her, Scarlett was more the looker but Lady Jaye had alot going on which made even a young boy admire her.
I can still hear Flints voice in my head and Lowlight did sound like Eastwood except with a lot of trauma
@@thegadflygang5381 Dic Lowlight sounded like a peppy kindergarten teacher or kid's show host. Think LeVar Burton on Reading Rainbow or one of the adults in Sesame Street.
He was one of my favorites because he was from ND. I was born in Minot ND. Only spent my younger years there. He was cool character as well.
One of my favorite Joe's, they should've put him in with the issue were the Joe's invade Springfield, Low-light would've been perfect on the assault team!🤔👍🏽
