Looking forward to part 2. I've got some 8 year old shure 846s that I still love, some 7hz Timeless and a few headphones (Audeze, Edifier stax...). Im thinking about the next step at some point, for music across the board. The 7hz are very nice but don't give me the detail, coherence or soundstage that I'm after with more complex, emotive classical arrangements. And with some recordings the Timeless can sound a bit thin, almost reedy. I'm also looking for the closeness and intimacy that I get with the Shure's for people like Loreena Mckennitt, as well as the fun, foot tapping engagement of the likes of Louis Armstrong and the rhythm of Latin beats that make you want to move. So far the IE600s are ones that seem to stand out. The Monarch mk2s are at the limit of my budget. Any other suggestions for consideration very much appreciated!
Great review, I lke your style. I own the Empire Zeus, Noble Audio 10, and Kinera Norn. Each one has a unique sound signature, I really love the Zeus and Norn. Would be interested in Odin, or Evo. But price range is too high.
I personally think the Nio is very underrated, at least after getting the MEST MKII. Especially with the MX tuning; well done neutral with noticeably better resolution (and, as such, detail) than the MKII, even with M15/20, with bass that sounds like a high end subwoofer boasted
Amazing IEMs. I've only had a little bit of time with a set on loan, and don't have a demo available, so I don't feel confident ranking it for this video. I've spent a minimum of 10 hours with everything in this video, and not nearly that much time with the MEST MKII.
Really interested in what you're going to have in part 2. Let's see, guess at Elysian X, Anole VX, Kublai Khan, Vision Ears Phonix, Legend X and of course U12T. 😀
Regrettably I don't have a MEST MK2 unit for demo and we don't carry it, so I can't just rip open a box for a thorough comparison. You're probably correct that it deserves a place on this list. While we've been trying to feature products outside of what's available in our store when possible or appropriate we're usually pretty limited there. :-/
I can't provide a strong recommendation specifically for mastering, but I might look at the Campfire Audio Ara for one of the most linear IEMs I've heard.
Very high. I don't typically like to say "This is the best." but more "This is the best at XYZ, while this other one is the best at ABC." U12t remains one of the best in terms of its combination of detail retrieval, tonal balance, and soundstage.
I'm gonna act like you didn't say Skullcandy during the intro.
wow, a great vid mate. Very excited for Part 2

Can’t wait for Part 2! 👊👊
What do you think of MEST mkii?

small soundstage with good imaging nothing special.
not worth it in my humble op.

You're not even half wrong. ;)
64 Audio really needs better cables, especially for gym use. $1600 IEMs should have quality cables. I went Noble
V16 vs u12t?
so where is UM mest mk2 ??!!!!
Saving for part 2?
Just realized I don’t think Bloom sells the MEST, so that might be why it’s not included here.

@@BloomAudio
you are missing something valuable, try it !!
For mastering which iem you suggest?(linear & hyper analytical) ???Under 2000..People talk for Diva..
I can't provide a strong recommendation specifically for mastering, but I might look at the Campfire Audio Ara for one of the most linear IEMs I've heard.
@@BloomAudio thanks i will look now for it..👍
🤔 Studio monitors.
Where would you place the Audio 64 U12t?

your fav IEM for EDM please?
Empire Ears x A&K Odyssey. Legend EVO is close, but Odyssey has more midbass and more vivid imaging.
@@BloomAudio thank you very much
I'm surprised Sony IER-Z1R wasn't mentioned
I find that my Shuoer EJ07 are damn good ....
Monarch Mk2 is a tribrid, not hybrid. The treble uses electrostic drivers.
Yes - good call, that was a mistake on our part.
plz try Ej07m HBB kinda lava
Finally!
etymotic es4se the best
misleading nonsense
How so?
