It was fantastic meeting you, Steve! Thanks for letting me buy the demo unit and shipping the rest of the accessories so fast. I’m very sorry if any of my questions or nitpicking came off rude.
I say Bravo, Bravo, Bravo, what a great review. Who would have thought the ultimate iem flagship killer would be a synthesis of two chi-fi IEMs. I vote that these two companies stop competing against each other and get to collaborating. I think this review is just about enough I need to know to make a purchasing decision. Thanks, Senior Stephen on another knockout punch review. Take a victory lap compliments of Bloom audios Psycho Pizza Catering Audiophile (lmao) High Five Stephen - It was a great interview!
Can I ask you which eartips did you use for the nanna 2.0 cause in the case of the nanna the final E types tips muddies up the sound. With the cp 100+ there is more bass of a better quality and clearer sound :). And microdetails in the midrange while being smooth are unmatched for me in the nanna 2.0. Also that electrostats treble is incredibly separated and detailed. To me the monarch sounds thinned out in the mids (lower mids) while being muffled at the same time on the other site of the mids (and in the treble region), maybe there is lack of the mid mids or just only lack in the treble region but something is going on there Iam not quite sure. But yeah still somehow manages to have strong details in the mids. The only thickness in the sound comes from the bass region....Also the monarch II can capture texture of the sound pretty good.
Yes - for Nanna 2.0 I think the SpinFits are the best. I've used CP100, CP145, and the new W1, and find that - like you said - Final E series lose some coherence, while the SpinFits really complement the sound.
Hey, so I didn't get a chance to hear the Helios, though I'm pretty sure it was an CanJam SoCal. As far as my $1k choice, I have 2 IEMs in my personal collection in that range: the Campfire Andromeda and the Noble Tux5. For most of my own listening (and for gaming) I really like the slightly dark, bassy Tux5, while the Andromeda (and actually now Solstice custom) gives me the imaging and technical proficiency I would want for more critical listening (while still being more fun).
@@majidmute yes, if you choose a source for the monarch with good bass control, for example, with L&P P6, the monarch sounds better than u12t: the vocals are simply incomparable, and the bass sounds more diverse, but from some simple source (for example, from a phone or an initial player level) u12t will play tastier, because. a more elevated midbass will add richness to the sound
you think the Monarch mk2 is the best IEM? I consider to buy IER z1r/U12T but it is too expensive in Europe Monarch mk2 can stand against them at a lower cost ?
@@maegnificant there is too much “seasoning” in u12t, when the food is tasteless (like the sound from the phone), then this “seasoning” really makes sense, but when the sound from a good player is rich in “taste” itself, then the additional seasoning only spoils everything - too cloying

Hey, great meeting you too! Always happy to answer whatever questions someone might have.
Great review mate!...I like that you did cable and tip rolling.
I've had many and many....the one that impresses me the most is the single DD Ikko OH7 ..... It is something spectacular ......

can you change filters on MK2 ?
No, there isn't any kind of filter switch on the MK2.
